Advice

Hey peeps,
iv a 98 s14a,not sure if i need an engine or not,tapping noise in her that nobody seems to know what it is. i keep changing my mind what to do so advice i need is whether i should sell it as is or stick an engine in,if so if anyone could give me an idea price wise what that would be cos when it comes to cars I love to drive them but feiced when it comes to fixen them!

VVt sprocket ? Does it rattle when started and go if you rev the engine

seen as its an s14a im gona say its most likely your vvt sprocket that your hearin
get it replaced an your grand...nothin to really worry bout its more annoyin than anythin

thats what i was told alright lads so i replaced it with a brand new hks one,still no joy tho! anything else it could be?

when is it ratteling? is it all the time or when its hot/cold?
