i got a bmw e36 as ya al know but i heard a story that on them you ave to reinforce the subframe as it can rip away from the floor under heavey is this true and how do i reinforce it properly

They can pull the bolts from the floor.
You can get reinforcements plates for them

I smacked mine off a few things, including 2 curbs and numerous ditches and no bolts pulled out, i wouldnt worry!
ye i no what you mean lad al though sure i dont i wud like to take the chance the 1.8 wit its 140bhp mite not do antin but wen im gonna swap the engine ah ill look for a m3 in the scrap yard and cut the plates out of it save a few bob
Don't bother trying to find em and cutting em out of another one.. I made em for one of mine before.
@ Pete, its nothing really to do with hitting stuff, its all down to general wear and tear and metal fatigue mostly..very common in em

Just a bit of sheet metal lad, mild steel or that...1mil thick be grand
