have you had any experience with the 7m steveo? plus mondello the corners are wet cant imagine much stress on the engine, see how it goes....
wil have the s14.5 rocking and rollin by then :P

wouldnt be the wisest weapon of choice for drifting in my opinion,cam is about the hardest vehicle id try to drift in terms of swb and low power anything harder to me would be more like hard work than fun!

they can be, at my last trackday one of the lads had 2 straight pipes on his capri and after 1 lap they black flagged him and sent him on his way . i refunded his money cos i didnt think theyd say atin .

They might wet the bends at the start to reduce the noise from the tyres.
You'll be flying up there lad, you might want a good few wheels with your yoke :cool:
What thye do is for 1st timers they leave you out in a group at the start to get used to the track & the usually have 3 groups.
Groups aren't picked by skill, just have groups with 20 min runs for each group.
Just book it lad & lets all go mad :D
in goldstone good tires were lasting 5-7mins only so presume mondello be lot handier on tires ye

have mondello booked in for a half day and they upped the price to 95 euro:mad: yer one says its cos were using the full track???
i mean if we are deadly and all but ill still only have the same amount of time regardless,so half of 150 isnt 75 anymore its 95 goin by mondello!
It costs mondello more for the larger track with more flag marshalls etc!
However have they ever ran that track before?

And the 3 groups are split into what ever date you booked, so the first 25 people to book are in group A,
next 25 in group B and last 25 into group C..
They should be sorting it in such a way that newbie's or road cars are in
a different class to Pro Drivers and track cars i reckon but sure nothing we can do now!

got it working lastnight
reciently put an rb25 box in, clutch is a 409single orc, in my wisdom i used the release bearing that came with the box but changed that last week to the orc one then after hours of bleeding and adjusting peddle i couldnt get the clutch to dissengage....
....so lastnight i binned the damper in the clutch lines and cleaned everything, only had to bleed for ten mins and its working fine
when i was out with the rb25 bearing in the biting point changed when it got hot, lastnight i only got the chance to do a few circles and grabbed second then third for a short strech back to the house and what heat was generated didnt seem to affect it so fingers crossed would have liked to tested a bit more but the neighbours were curtain twiching and the 5 0 regularly do drive by's lol
Does anyone know if derk will be there changin tyres??
I'd imagine he will as long as its not raining,He did fook all the last day in the rain,Wasnt worth his while going down,ZERO tyres being used in the wet in Mondello!

so its basically buy a passenger pass and you have it all day and can go in any car
no tats not it lads..
the way it works is, you get one free passenger
and if you want any other passengers they wil hav to pat 20euro
and then their allowed in any of the cars for the day...

ah id say its the tyres i have on the front there nexens with big fuk off rain grooves and theyre fairly soft so i thought theyd be better than they are,when i have the notes ill get some better ones but for now ill try less camber soften the front dampers and let more air out of the front tyres

anyone ever do a practice day on the whole track before or is this the first time? i remember years ago at one of the huge shows there when pd was still d1 there was a drift display at the chicane and the big lefthander looked fukin epic,the p100 was still about and the lad in the mk2 was showing up a bunch of nissans!
a lad in a wine s14 had a bad crash, an ambulance comes flying up medics check his neck put a brace on him throw him on a stretcher, this is two minutes after he swept up the broken bits of bumper and glass off the track!

If we've no way of changing tyres then we wont last half the day at best.. Its the full track so we're going to be using ALOT of tyres. Would they ever open there eyes and see how much money there taking in as is, they dont need Derk or anyone else to pay trading fee's.. Its part and parcel of drifting that a tyre changing facility is usuall at an event!
does anyone know what time to go if you just want to watch and how much?

doh! shift work has me head fucked..... could have swore today was sunday. sorry about that. it would be worth going up and see if anyone pulls out. especially if theres no tyre changing facilities. alot of cars may only last a half day cause of not being able to swap tyres. im raging i cant go up to this myself. feckin work..

i think something should be properly constructed by us (being people who use the track on the drift practice days), and presented to them as a proper proposal about having the tyre changing service (ie. Derk) there. to many it is an essential part of being able to use the track, be it for a half day or full day. it's not like mondello have had to source someone to do it either. its not like derk would be making a killing out of it so there should be no reason for him to pay fees, in fact mondello should donate some money to him for making there track more presentable and prepared for such drift days.
