lads i have a 1996 200sx uk car and the key is nearly snapped off,can i just get a new key cut or do you have to get it coded??i know the r32 you dont need it coded but im not sure about this car??

i had 96 jap 14, got key cut and it worked perfect, same with the 15, so im presuming yours would be the same

if your car is the uk spec you will need to get it coded because of the nats system in it i had to get one done about two weeks ago

is the car a 14 or 14a? if its a s14 dont need coded. on the other hand if its a 14a you will need it coded if you can post a pic of the key i could tell u for deff all jap s13,s14,s15 r32 r33 are not coded key

could you not just get a Jap S14 ecu an then you could just get away with copying the key without getting it coded?

its a uk 200sx and the key has the little red bit on the black plastic handle so to speak

Yes, it needs to be coded, or else do away with the NATS system and fit a proper alarm...

Depends on how much security you need but if it has to be done on the cheap you can just tape the broken key (with transponder) under the dash and use a regular non-coded key, no more immobiliser protection then though
