ever since i got the s15 the wheels have being pissing me off, there was some sort of oxidisation on every lip of every wheel!! so today i finally got round to doing a nice cost efficent wheel refurb, 12 euro to be precise!! :D
here are some pics of them before where you can clearly see the problem and then what 3 hours of wet and dry sanding and some metal polishing can do!! :D oh and a few of the car all cleaned! opinions welcome!!bt:)

yeah it was well worth it!! probably would of been charged a fortune by someone else!!

800, 1050, 1500, and finally 2000 followed by auto glym metal polish... 3 coats of it per wheel! arms are shot!! hope i can still manage a pint later!!:p

cheers, now to just replace the frnt right wing!! have it lying in the shed ready to go on just need time!!:rolleyes:

yeah, give it a go!! better the pennies in your pocket than someone elses! i didnt re lacquer them... should i?

did u use the 800 grit to remove all the oxidisation ?? then use the finer grades up along

good job!!....but will you have to keep polishing them the whole time now??.....i mean will they go dull quicker??

good job steve,car looks mint,id say you'll have to laquer them or else your gonna have to keep polishing them

you dont need to laquer them steve they ll be grand just give them a rub with the metal polish every couple of months

thats what i was thinking... if i put lacquer on it might happen again! sure ive a bottle of metal polish there to keep em right!!;)

yeah exactly, 800 was perfect for getting it all off, but if that doesnt work you might have to go lower!
