View Full Version : Drift jam Practise day May 28th
Hey Guys,
We are proud to announce the launch of a new beginning in Irish Drifting, Drift Jam.
Drift Jam is planning to offer the Irish drift community with a series of drift practice days at select venues around Ireland.
For our first day we are teaming up with Prodrift at the Punchestown venue on Friday May 28th.
The format for the day will be focussed on enjoying drifting in a safe and controlled environment and having fun with like minded drift enthusiasts.
With the support of the grass roots drift community we hope to be able to offer more days of fun/practice at other venues during the year.
Price is €100 for the day
Entries are open to both Prodrift registered and non registered drivers.
We will be using the same track layout as Prodrift.
For info or to enter please email us at driftjam@gmail.com

Does that mean you don't need to hold a PD licence? Basically turn up in a rwd car and go out drifting?
What about minimal safty requirments?

Ive paid for friday through PD, is your deal for non PD competing drivers running the same course?
Good stuff good to see someone else doing their bit for drifting. As long as this is not a get rich quick thing and plenty of track time is on offer it should take off
Best of luck

turn up no, we want entries to contact us first with car spec etc. no twin for cars without doors bars
we are looking at splitting into 2 classes, street legal and comp spec
any sat or sundays coming up?
it will mainly be sats and sundays
we will answer as many questions as possible but bare in mind its our first driftjam.
these practice days are for drivers so you need to tell us what you want in a practice day

soo ya need a cage??
but soo there event will only be run when pd are doing them??
So basically this is a practice day for PD drivers, or ppl with full-on caged cars then? Nah, that doesn't sound good.
will we be allowed passengers??
Sounds like horsepoo effort!
Sounds like a great idea..... Slightly suprised any1 is tryin any kind of a different event/ drift set up in Ireland cas after only 3 pages its getting stick before yer 1st day has evan began... Oh wll fair play and hope it goes well... Now 2 pick up a tramp to unwind before the pd madness begins in future!
i think it is a very good idea all this about a quick buck and stuff is a load of cock who fucking cares i dont the only reson people say stuff like tha is becuse they didnt think of it or dont no what they are talking about! i will be there and prob at any other ones in the future, its a brilliant idea not only for pd drivers but also for the spectators give them a chance to steer around the track and see if they can drive the lines pd use!! then see how many of them come on hee after and talk scutter in a 14 page tread about judjes and drivers not doing this and that, do better your self if you can

Ok guys just a quick update regarding our first practice day on the 28th
We will divide entrants into 2 categories, Street and Pro
All Prodrift license holders will be categorized as pro and will be ran as a twin drift practice.
All other entrants will be classed as street and will not be twin drifting.
Minimum requirements for street class are half cage and a harness. Reclining bucket seats are permitted.
Any inquiries regarding car suitability please email us driftjam@gmail.com
The street and pro class will rotate throughout the day. Tyre changing facilities will be available.
Yes all entrants will receive free stickers :)

Also a good way to impress the sponsors :D
I don't see why the licensed drivers wont be allowed take passengers ,if they've a harness on the p.s seat.
I suppose thats true James, especailly PD lisence holders with proper safe cars.
started a new thread guys with more details etc about the event so have a look!
Is entry numbers limited Nixon?
