righto said id through up a few piccies off the latest project. the pennies are tight on this one, selling my old vectra runabout, and the funds from that are to finish this wagon. i got it cheap as the big ends were knocking, the shell is very clean, but the piantwork is shocking, laquer peelling twelve diff shade of gold and a few scrapes, but no dents thank god. the plan is paint a few bits up black, some 15" ssr's and drop it on the floor(i mean on the floor!:D) here's a few pics

first job was to inspect the damage dropped the subframe a little and pulled sump off

this bearing is snapped in half!

got some spats and skirts, ended up swapping these skirts for different ones as these kouki ones i got had no front piece.

need a good clean but im happy with them

rears have 3 inch dish and fronts 2.5"

then set about painting the bootlid, roof, spats, skirts, front lights and the front splitter. its not the prettiest looking but i like it!

next task is to get crank back, get engine back together, fit new box as the old one is crunching in 4th, get some 60mm springs and lob a coil off them witht he grinder, fit exhaust, weld diff, and she'll be good to go:D also have a volvo ic there for it, and theres a t28 on it, might get a horshem chip soon if one comes up cheap! thats it for now!

there is a baffle in the sump already, but i take it thats a std one? ill try get a pic

ah doubt ill go all black, i only did it this way as i didnt want to paint all the stuff gold, trying to match colours an shit, the black was only a tenner for the two cans, and i employed nikkisixx69 off here to sand everything for some tea and biscuits!

i no i wer looking for 16" ssr's for ages but settled for 15's doubt will need wider the back ones stick out a little as it is! thats before some spacers an some camber:D

bit of an update, stripped box out today, and the crank is out, going bringin it to engineering shop in the morn, needs mains and big ends, but didnt spin any. good news also the clutch is nearly new and also the timing belt:D which will keep the costs down thank god!

will get pics up this eve, got some coil overs:D brand new hsd rears, and npg(bridgestone) fronts. id never heard of npg coilovers before, but they seem a good bit of kit, came with pillowball top mounts, and there damper adjustable, great thing about them is that the inserts are removable, and they are kyb agx 4 way damping adjustables. replacements inserts are 95 euro each:D got them on last night, mother of god on ther floor:D pur lift is the lowest 2 poster you can get, an with the lift down, the rear wheels are still off the ground:D
have my shopping list now im off to collect some stuff.
collect reground crank, and bearings
two drop links,
two track rod ends,
2 gallons cheapo oil and 3 filters,
1 gallon of a decent oil.
ill get some pics up later, on a bad note, i think i may have broken my wrist last night:mad: so crank wont be going back in today.

ya im sure he would dude, only thing is these are mild steel, so gona have to keep polishing them with braso.

on anther note. took off my cam covers earlier, all the breathers wer blocked. which may have caused the bearing failure. certainly wasnt helping it anyway!
cleaned them all up and piped them up for an oil catch tank!

taxed her today:D unfortunatley the front is pulled apart again. one of the cam seals started leaking. so changing them and the bottom seal as it was weeping too. just be on the road tomoro eve tho!:D

no diff yet:( gona wait till after nct to weld her up then the fun will begin!:cool:

righto update on this, over the last few weeks there started to be a rattle in it, didnt sound like bearings but i cudnt find it for the life of me, so this morn i dropped the sump and dropped the rod caps and mains girdle and guess what.... there fuckin perfect! but the noise is still there an is getting louder:(

so i priced a head set 130 euro:eek: the only other thing that could be rattling is something in the head, what i dont no:( so i went up and bought a full engine off richie200sx from here, sound bloke:) gona rip mine out tmro and change over a few bits to it an fit that engine in, he got it off stonie on here so hopefully shes all good.

also got a t25g from john hinchy and a set of locking collars cheers down:cool:
and huge thanks to tweek off here who gave me an s15 pump for free at the weekend sound dude:D got a 180sx elbox and downpipe to go on as the 180 one is abit bigger than CA and nikkisixx off here gave it to me for some sexual favours!
finally had to get a clutch cylinder cos mine was leaking, very hard to find a bottom feed one, as most jap s bodies are side feed, luckily keith mc hugh had a box full of them an we got one to fit. so that problem sorted.

hopefully shell be all good again in no time thank god!:o

heres the situation as of today, got the engine out, sumps changed over, turbo off mine, went to fit the t25g to the mani but need to get oil feed made and rotate inlet housing, as it hits the mani! heads recked with it today, spent the money on engine and cudnt go to the races today with all the lads :mad: im fuuukin sickened:mad:

not much done, need to get an oil feed made for turbo on tuesday, as neither the std one or sr20 one would do. ca block is a screw in fitting, sr20 block is a union fitting!

two engine side by side swapping over alternator an a few bits, i hope to god this engine is ok:(

mounting t25g to mani, just undid circlip on comp wheel and turned it so its not hitting the manifold!

well! few more bits done, engine will be dropped in in da morn! turbos all on, ended up having to cut and weld the two oil feed pipes, as i cudnt get a union to fit the block, there different to sr's:( all done now tho, shud be running tmro eve!:D

had to run a vacuum from da inlet to the new turbo as it doesnt have a take off like the stock t25! water lines all lined up perfect too so happy days!

right so i bit the bulitt and stripped my original ca, cant find much wrong with it:confused: had a gud engine builder to have a look too and he cant find anything wrong, could have done with a freshen up anyway! here sum pics, just have to final surface the block and head and there done. gona check the bores tomoro but they seem ok, bearings are all new anyway. so should be back together soon!:D

haha bit of an update. got this runnin sweet yesterday changed plugs and bled clutch, an went abit mad lastnight, an she went pop:eek: locked up mid drift an then wouldnt start ! eventually got her home and theres no compression in cylinders 3 or 4, but da gasket not blowin through, ahwell, savin for an sr20 or rb now:D

gona rip the head of it now in a min, had the bloody engine out in 45 mins could do it with my eyes closed at this stage!!
still duno what to do, i think sr is out the window. too dear. either build a good ca (ive a set of forged oversized pistons found cheapish) or go rb20-25 hmm i duno yet, but on a good note straightliners is on in a couple of weeks so the nova will be getting a day out :D really need to bring it for a spin an see what itll need, havnt drivin it atall since the last drag day it did!:eek:

mother fuckers. i found out why my gasket blew and what my rattle was. my block, was an n/a block, with n/a pistons. i realised this when there was no oil squirters in my block. gasket blew cos comp was too high. an the rattle was very bad detonation, thats why it went away when i retarded the timing, and got worse with more boost:eek:. mystery solved, just wonder where the fuck some1 found a ca18de jap engine!? an stuck a turbo on it!?? the mother fuckers.

update:D finaly got an engine! got it off gofasters13 on here, sound bloke an gud ta deal with!:cool:

anywho, its an overbored block with wiesco pistons, reground crank and oversized bearings, cometic steel headgasket, new oil and water pump, head looks brand new, all valves perfect no coke, head is spotless valves lifters etc look brand new. puttin it back together tomoro an have her runnin asap:D

350... im happy with that tho, got a decent amount of stuff, wiesco's are huge money for them, cometic gasket, reground crank and all the bearings, block is mint, no corrosion, head is a recon or exchange job it brand new!:eek: hopefully now itll go abit better! itll prob b slower now as its low comp an ill b running the same boost! not for long tho:D

get a boost controller an knock it up a bit man it'll help wit the lower comp...as long as you've an upgraded fuel pump you should be able to run .9 bar safe enuf befor mappin...you can wit the sr's anyway...350 wasnt bad wit wiesco's an a cometic mhg an a mint head an clean block...is it runnin standard bearins??

its alive! was abit worried when i started it as its missfiring, but i think i have that figured out now, think its an injector, have done a comp test an it fine, took out plugs and cleaned them, put them back in and ran perfect for about 4 seconds, then started missing again, pulled out plug no.4 and it was soaked and smoke comin outa cylinder awfull smell a petrol off it, so im gona change them out tomoro an hopefully itll b all gud!:D
