Just thought would stick this up to show the transformation the car has gone through in the last couple of years:

So yeah it is still up for sale but I just can't see it going anywhere and I don't think I want it to really so......

After a search which I think begun about 2 years ago I FINALLY have a D-max bonnet:D It is and EP Racing replica I think but apart from a few cracks which I am not too worried about it looks pretty sweet!

I love it personally and maybe it might even keep under bonnet temps down a bit. I can't decide whether I should leave it as it is or paint it red over the winter though. Opinions?

Also I am doing the Snetterton drift day on Sunday with it, my first bit of proper drifting since I moved back to the UK so I am looking forward to that and hope to just have a day full of fun with some mates:)

Class!

Personally I'd leave it as is! It looks epic!
Normally I wouldn't be fond of carbon looking out of place (white cars with poxy 'carbon' bonnets etc) but I think it looks really well with the red!

Personal opinion/taste and all that though, no matter what you do, it's your car... Once your happy then who gives a shit

Looks good ,id leave it black personaly!

Cant help but think the side of the car needs something else, only something small, maybe some stickers in the rear quarter windows? To me the bn stickers need to be balanced out in between the sunstrip and the skirt stickers!? or something. this may not make sense to read

Well went to Snetterton on Sunday, had an average day had a couple of issues with the car and never really got the chance to try and nail the track but had fun all the same and it was good meeting up with people.

Not really got any good pics or video but this is what I have.

Well not much to update, I was a bit pissed off with the car after Snetteron which could of gone better but the other day I cruised down to Southern Style headquarters and got the turbo off. Got Dan Chapman to weld up my wastegate penny solid as it had come loose.

Done a little 'testing' after some burgers and the car seems to be ripping now. Feels to me that it is boosting sooner and harder than ever before. Good work Dan!

I can't wait to get it on track next year. :)

As ever I am always thinking of ways of making the car cooler and my buddy Daniel Bridle just sent me this pic on Facebook:

hell yeah chrome graphics! do it! id change the spoiler to some wide legged BGW or drag wing like the 4-doors if it was me

Graphics could deffo happen, I have always thought there needed to be something else as well as the skirt stickers.

As for the wing, I have been thinking about having a whole other boot door set-up with spoiler I can bolt on and off, mostly as I am shit scared of rubbing the Veilside spoiler off something as it is ridiculously rare.

Yeah there is deffo a big difference, it is kind of hard to tell as I changed so much else on the car when I fitted the SR but it deffo feels alot more balanced then when the RB was in it.

Tiny update, ordered these extremely useful brackets from Nissan Japan through Abbey Motorsport:

Fitted them in about 2 minutes:

and finally got my GTR grille on:

I like it alot, it will be staying on.

Also sprayed my Veilside mirrors, waiting for them to dry now. Will get them on tomorrow if they don't need another coat.

Oh and there is a bit of a change up in wheels planned.;)

Few updates.

Swapped my front 18 inch KFs for a pair of 17s.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/65240_10200420639977179_324706745_n.jpg

Got them fitted up with 215/40/17s. Fitted them on the R32 and found that there was a massive arch gap so lowered it 15mm more on the front. As of now it sits like this, I think I might still need to go lower.....

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/P1000607.jpg

even at this height it has caused a little trouble getting off my drive way:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/P1000606.jpg

I also got my veilside mirrors fitted, only a rattle can pait job but not too bad. I like them:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/P1000608.jpg

Plan next is to change the rear centres for silver ones out of another weaker sized pair of KFs I bought as drift spares :) and probably lower it more all round. Might see if I can tuck some rim on the back.....

So yeah due to some wall rubbing and gravel skipping I did a bit of aero bashing, quite a bit in fact but luckily people got photos of the BN Sports explosions (BN always looks the best exploding! haha):

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/563215_438230482921764_531437869_n_zpsf9440c46.jpg

Overall though I am over the moon! The car went the best it ever did easily smoking out 3rd gear. The few little changes I have made to car have livened it up so much!

It was my first time at Lydden and I loved it! Will definatley be getting back there ASAP. Hopefully next time Steve's JZX90 will be good and we can do some proper driving together.

So yeah basically it was the best days drifting for me in a long time and I have fallen in love with the car and drifting in general all over again. I can't wait to get out again!

A few more cool pics from the day from various photographers:

So not to bad, good enough to drive it around a bit.

I have been thinking a bit lately and it is starting to look like I really don't have the time/money for this car and could do with something a little more street I have also found something I wouldn't mind buying.

So with that in mind it is up for sale:

Bought some new Tein tie rods today:

http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/3631_10200918159454855_1247487644_n.jpg

This is due to the fact that one of my lengthened ones has a bit of play in it, was thinking of just getting the new pair modified but have decided to look into a more 'bolt on' solution in case the same thing happens in the future.

So set about looking for something like these:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/2353_zps219bac3e.jpg

Think Wes has them on the shelf for a sensible price so will get those on order and get it all on. Might even go for a badly needed alignment session!

driftescort
02-04-13, 12:04
As some of you may have seen I had this up for sale again, well I can officially say that:

SELLING IT CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF!

After a chat with the important people in my life I have given myself a slap in the face (again) and realised I just can't part with this car. I have decided that it is about time I got serious with competition so I have decided that I will try and get as much drifting as I can afford done in 2013 then make a full assault on a championship in 2014 :)

It is looking like that championship will be the Irish Drift Championship as I have made the decision to move back to Ireland in the near future. I love the Irish drift scene and can't wait to get in amongst with all my old buddies over there again!

So with all this in mind I have been thinking about things that will make the car an even more competent drift car for 2014. One of the weak links I have always worried about is the stock SR gearbox, now to be fair mine is still going strong but I feel it is a bit of a lottery as to how long it will last so when a 350Z Gearbox with all the parts required to fit came up for sale recently (from my Dad :D ) I snapped it up.

I have always wanted to fit one of these boxes to the car (I even bought one before but sold it on again) as they seem very strong, I have heard from people who are already using them that they have ideal ratios for drifting and I will have a 6th gear for street cruising.

I probably won't get it fitted until much later in the year (when I am back in Ireland) but I am over the moon knowing it is there ready to be fitted.

Well I think this is due a bit of an update, trying to think where I left off.

I discovered the turbo to manifold gasket had blown so I ordered a genuine Nissan one from DW and got to work.

got that all back together in a couple of evenings with new nuts and bolts on the turbo as well as the external gate.

The car had started driving a bit crap so I fitted the new Tein rods with the non offset rack spacers I got from WKD imports and gave it a driveway alignment. Drives much nicer now! At the same time I dialled in some more rear camber as I was getting a quite a bit of rubbing depending on which brand of tyre I ran on the back. It is far from ideal for drifting and will have to be something I take a look at in the future.

This is how it sat after that, I had to remove the front bumper as it literally couldn't take any more.

http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/528327_10201053765124912_1995209745_n.jpg

So after this I found new front and rear BN bumpers for a bargin so snapped them up. I stuck the front on unpainted to make it look a little more respectable. The day I put it on was the day before Lydden so I took a picture of it all loaded up and ready to go.

So then yesterday it was Lydden, my buddy Steve (steveboiboi) was driving aswell and we had agreed that we wanted to try and do some close drifting together so it was shaping up to be a good day!

and it didn't disappoint! Steve was driving on point from the start doing mega flicks into the Devil's Elbow (I think that is what that corner is called), it took me a little longer to get in my grove and after loosing one of my indicators and pulling the front bumper off a bit I decided to take the other indicator off and remove the front bumper as I can't afford to change loads of body parts after every drift day and I wasn't going to calm my driving! lol

Once I found my groove a bit I too was doing some flicks into that corner that I was happy with so then me and Steve tried to get some twinning on.

HOW MUCH FUN WAS THAT! I was generally leading as Steve seemed to be faster than me so could keep in close with me better than I could with him (very possibly as he was driving better than me!) so this also resulted on Steve pulling a couple of mega overtakes on me on the hairpin. I would drift a little wide and he would slide past then I would jump back on him. It felt absolutely amazing and I was actually getting bits off Steve's tyres coming in my window and hitting me in the face! Brilliant :D

So yeah to sum up a great day chatting with Friends, mega entries, overtakes and twinning. Exactly what drifting should be!

Here are some pics that are doing the rounds from the day:

Small update, my front T1Rs were getting a bit low so when I saw someone selling a used but good pair of 215/40/17 Advan AD08 Neovas I snapped them up.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/F46E5001-0347-4A9A-A683-27583376CA31-1152-000000BE364504C5_zps8149483a.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/F46E5001-0347-4A9A-A683-27583376CA31-1152-000000BE364504C5_zps8149483a.jpg.html)

Looking forward to getting them on and seeing what they are like. A lot of the Japanese drivers seem to use them so they can't be too bad.

If anyone wants a pait of 215/40/17 T1Rs just hitting the wear markers cheap give me a shout! :)

Well it has been a while since I updated this, not a lot has changed with the largest change being in my circumstances as me and the car are now back in Ireland.

I will miss all my friends and driving the tracks in the UK but moving back to Ireland means I have full workshop facilities so I can really get some work done to the car, good news :D

So I knew it was going to be a nightmare getting the car on the boat so I raised it considerably for the drive back, I also basically filled it up with my life:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/582BFA8F-7495-4D6C-8BE8-D8C1502E4D51-7307-00000435FFA301F1_zpse5459959.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/582BFA8F-7495-4D6C-8BE8-D8C1502E4D51-7307-00000435FFA301F1_zpse5459959.jpg.html)

The journey was pretty much all through the night so the roads were pretty clear which was fine. The car JUST got on the boat even though I raised it a lot. It was so bad that once on the boat I couldn't drive round to where everyone else was parked so the R32 got its own VIP parking space!:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/E0A1CE1E-85E0-4E2E-8CFC-297B50D79E1D-7307-00000435E05F4FB9_zps964b08fa.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/E0A1CE1E-85E0-4E2E-8CFC-297B50D79E1D-7307-00000435E05F4FB9_zps964b08fa.jpg.html)

and proof that I finally got back to Ireland ;)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/5FEC13B7-E154-4972-A605-00A48589CE48-7307-000004362E0D630B_zpsa6f05e33.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/5FEC13B7-E154-4972-A605-00A48589CE48-7307-000004362E0D630B_zpsa6f05e33.jpg.html)

After driving it around quite high for a week or so I set about getting it down as low as it was before (well lower actually. I also had a pair of 9KG springs I had sourced from Tein that I wanted to fit to my front superdrifts to stiffen up the front of the car a bit so got them fitted:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/17BDDFC3-BEB5-4F7E-A02B-5C8CEAABA8BB-7307-000004387AC4DFF6_zps95d64e6d.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/17BDDFC3-BEB5-4F7E-A02B-5C8CEAABA8BB-7307-000004387AC4DFF6_zps95d64e6d.jpg.html)

Lower:

After this I decided it was time for a freshen up. Mostly I want to clean up the bodywork as it is really bugging me how crap it looks (as well as trying to get it ready for my brother's wedding in October) so with that I stripped all the aero off it that needed repairing and repainting:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/10EA172C-9E62-488C-B449-8F818AE11B01-7307-000004385E66F25E_zps7ab91400.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/10EA172C-9E62-488C-B449-8F818AE11B01-7307-000004385E66F25E_zps7ab91400.jpg.html)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/5D07C73A-E598-4BAB-B83E-D2009EAD423E-7307-00000438658FBF14_zps85e4340b.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/5D07C73A-E598-4BAB-B83E-D2009EAD423E-7307-00000438658FBF14_zps85e4340b.jpg.html)

Something else I wanted to address was my lack of rear grip, for an easy life in the UK I had quite a lot of negative camber dialled in on the rear I wanted to set this to somewhere near zero camber, I wanted to do this now as I had a feeling that with the aggressive offset my rear wheels have that I may have to do some body work mods in order to have enough room for the tyres.

I don't have any pictures but I was certainly right about needing further arch work as with 225s fitted the tyre looks to be protruding about 30mm from the overfender and I want to be able to fit 265s! I am going to have to get my thinking cap on for this one!

I have also run into another problem in that at the height I want to run the car at as well as running zero camber my camber arms are hitting my coil overs badly, this may have something to do with having a S14 rear subframe fitted and I have been told that S14 rear camber arms may fix the problem so I am going to try a pair of them and see if it fixes the problem.

More updates on the way soon hopefully.

So I got a bit of spare time the other day and decided to see what I could do to get the wheels/tyres to fit.

This is what I started with, the wheel was at near on zero camber:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/43E44E13-2776-4BDA-B4D3-4B5D43D55DC1-1335-0000008F1BA80B75_zps32fbeb06.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/43E44E13-2776-4BDA-B4D3-4B5D43D55DC1-1335-0000008F1BA80B75_zps32fbeb06.jpg.html)

Thing is that is only with a 225, I am hoping to use these wheels and tuck a 265 at zero camber......challenge.

So I unscrewed my overfenders (screwing them on was the best idea EVER!) and basically 'pinched' the overfender to push it out further and see if it gave me enough clearance:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/B80F7993-1365-425C-8E2A-47BB22E2EBFD-1335-0000008F30218503_zpse8e10c20.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/B80F7993-1365-425C-8E2A-47BB22E2EBFD-1335-0000008F30218503_zpse8e10c20.jpg.html)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/56427177-EF2F-4333-95DC-B816FD47790A-1335-0000008F3510DE85_zpsad44fa80.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/56427177-EF2F-4333-95DC-B816FD47790A-1335-0000008F3510DE85_zpsad44fa80.jpg.html)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/1E94E5A4-C4A7-48DE-B450-9CF0E0D6E9CF-1335-0000008F3C2BAB98_zps4892d91f.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/1E94E5A4-C4A7-48DE-B450-9CF0E0D6E9CF-1335-0000008F3C2BAB98_zps4892d91f.jpg.html)

So that is how it is sitting at the moment, as you can see the change in camber has raised the rear a lot and I can't drop it down until I get some S14 camber arms but it seems to be giving enough room, whether I like the look of it or not is a different matter though. That is only with a 225 though, I have to get a 265 mounted on at least one of the rear wheels and see how that fits...........

I finally got some time to work on the car the other day so I decided to try and zero the camber on the rear whilst getting the car sitting at a height I was happy with.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/8F822FC8-456F-4FE3-B8D7-1FBF3EFB12B8-6308-0000037C774811C4_zpsa3721f17.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/8F822FC8-456F-4FE3-B8D7-1FBF3EFB12B8-6308-0000037C774811C4_zpsa3721f17.jpg.html)

Ths is a crap pic I took before I took off the R32/S13 camber arm to try and show the problem I was having with the camber arm, basically to lower the car more I would need to drop the spring seat you can see in the picture but then the camber arm would come in contact with the spring/spring seat so that was not going to work. I think this must have something to do with having the S14 rear subframe fitted.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/2FEEACA6-DAF1-4C09-A7EB-C7AA9871FD5D-6308-0000037C7CE058ED_zps9440b24f.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/2FEEACA6-DAF1-4C09-A7EB-C7AA9871FD5D-6308-0000037C7CE058ED_zps9440b24f.jpg.html)

Quick comparison picture of the old arms and the new S14/R33 ones I picked up

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/9543D2EF-4B51-4290-BA62-89D80C67B267-6308-0000037C8242A2EF_zpsfb2ec68a.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/9543D2EF-4B51-4290-BA62-89D80C67B267-6308-0000037C8242A2EF_zpsfb2ec68a.jpg.html)

This is a picture of the new arms fitted, to be honest clearence is still a bit of an issue but just not as much and I think it will work. At the moment if I jack up the car the wheel only droops to the point of the spring seat hitting the camber arm, it is not ideal and to adjust the coilover with the wheel off I have to jack up the suspension so the spring seat is not sitting on the camber arm anymore.

It is a bit strange and I am sure it has become more of an issue for me as I want to run zero camber whilst being pretty low but there does not seem to be any contact once the car is on the ground so I suppose it will be ok. I think rear Geomasters may help the situation but I can not afford them right now.

Anyway I stuck a skirt back on to see where the car now sat:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/09517286-936F-4519-A5B6-314B836B7F70-6308-0000037C880A75E6_zpsa495c693.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/09517286-936F-4519-A5B6-314B836B7F70-6308-0000037C880A75E6_zpsa495c693.jpg.html)

The car is filthy and the bodywork still needs sorting but I am pretty happy with the way it is sitting, that is zero camber on the rear wheel (well actually even a tiny bit of positive) I am determined to make it work as a drift car at this height and I think that seems pretty achievable now.

As you may be able to see I have had to pull the overfender out a lot to make the camber/height/wheel offset all work with each other and I am not sure yet how I feel on the look of that but I can't really see any other option if I want to continue to use the KFs.

Also that is only a 225 fitted to the back and ideally I want to be able to run a 265, next step is to get 265s fitted and see what I am working with then.

Finding time to work on the R32 has been quite hard lately because I have gone back to university but I got a day off the other day so decided to spend some time on the R32.

I wanted to spend some more time on the rear getting a good grippy alignment set up while still running low.

Something that had become apparent was that the rear quarter panels behind the overfenders needed some more work to achieve this.

I am going to get this out of the way now......yep I have not painted behind my overfenders! Never really been an issue tbh.

I was lucky enough for my Dad to spend the day on it with me doing pretty much all the fab work as I am not great on a welder. So after a quick look under the overfenders at what we needed to do the grinder came out.....

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/5BB6B04A-80B5-4FEE-B2D6-7C14E6931770-2168-000002034255D4CB_zps3eb48069.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/5BB6B04A-80B5-4FEE-B2D6-7C14E6931770-2168-000002034255D4CB_zps3eb48069.jpg.html)

and this is what we were left with:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/3F1744F6-52A1-4DD9-B194-B02D73DDD768-12794-00000601F3B6B871_zps7d98d875.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/3F1744F6-52A1-4DD9-B194-B02D73DDD768-12794-00000601F3B6B871_zps7d98d875.jpg.html)

So yeah way more room and quite a large hole! Next step was to plate the resulting hole with new metal but while doing this I decided to try and sort another issue at the same time.

Basically I had come to realisation that with the new alignment/tyre set up I wanted to run mixed with the aggressive offset of my rear KFs there was no way the overfenders in their original position would cover the tyre. So we decided to extended this filler panel out from the quarter to 'push' the overfender out giving more space. There would also be the added benefit that it would stop de-laminating tyres from damaging the overfender. So we got on with that:

Once everything was welded up we applied some seam sealer to make sure everything was sealed:

The above picture gives a good idea of how much more room I know have. After the seam sealer we then applied some schultz to make everything weather proof:

Nice and clean. This picture gives a good idea of how much more the fender is pushed out:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/D3E41449-B867-4462-BC48-ED1F8F644BE6-12794-00000602107E8C03_zps654334fb.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/D3E41449-B867-4462-BC48-ED1F8F644BE6-12794-00000602107E8C03_zps654334fb.jpg.html)

So put the overfenders back on and saw how it was sitting now:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/AC501DD1-51DE-4BAF-9195-94FC2BF68689-2168-000002034CD40C9D_zps41759502.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/AC501DD1-51DE-4BAF-9195-94FC2BF68689-2168-000002034CD40C9D_zps41759502.jpg.html)

I am pretty damn happy with that as that is with some positive camber I still have to dial out so I am pretty confident that I should be able to run a 265 with a decent bit of tuck:smokin: There is also still loads of room for the wheel to travel upwards too.

I think I could really do with drop knuckles on the rear due to running at this height but I can't see me having the money for them any time in the near future so I am just going to have to make do.

Overall I am really happy and as I got the aero back from having a few repairs done the other day I can see it coming back together real soon:D

I am really looking forward to trying these out to see what kind of difference they make.

I also have started getting the kit ready for paint so hopefully the car will be looking a lot nicer very soon.

So bit of an update, got something for the R32 I have wanted for so long:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/8A722538-CDFF-403E-81AD-D19B9BE186F0-4566-000004249310B319_zpsc959c3c5.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/8A722538-CDFF-403E-81AD-D19B9BE186F0-4566-000004249310B319_zpsc959c3c5.jpg.html)

and a picture of most of the kit (manifold has had a bit of welding as you can see but is blow free)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/E1B11267-4119-4AC1-AF75-3A5DD0CA28DB-4566-000004248CF38591_zpsc8a8b510.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/E1B11267-4119-4AC1-AF75-3A5DD0CA28DB-4566-000004248CF38591_zpsc8a8b510.jpg.html)

I am over the moon as this is pretty much my dream turbo set up for the car (except for maybe having the mid-mount manifold, but I am looking into that ;) )

I was lucky enough to sell my current turbo set up pretty much straight away so that was cool. I still have my D-Max Cobra downpipe that I might sell if I get the right offer though.....

I can't wait to get it fitted now and mapped and see how the car performs/sounds then.

Oh yeah hopefully the kit will be painted and back on real soon too :)

Finally got a bit of time to do a bit of work to the R32 a couple of days ago, noting major but it felt good to be working on it again. I re-routed my breather pipes as I wasn't happy with how they were, I also blanked my water feed to the turbo as the TD06 doesn't require a water feed.

I also attempted to fit the GKtech eccentric throttle wheel but it seemed to be catching and therefore not fitting at all really, has anyone else experienced this?

I also done a deal to swap my top mount Greddy manifold for this:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/EF0A7EBD-E778-4AF3-878C-CBCFCE16BD23_zpsxaskwrdv.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/EF0A7EBD-E778-4AF3-878C-CBCFCE16BD23_zpsxaskwrdv.jpg.html)

A genuine Greddy/Trust mid-mount manifold, I am delighted to get hold of one of these as due to the unequal pipe lengths they produce a really raspy sound that you hear so much in Japanese drift videos.

I should be getting the turbo fitted in the next few days so I can see what else needs modifying, more updates then.

So I have been putting a bit of time into this over the last week or so. First job was to get the TD06 20G fitted. Got the mid-mount manifold on nice and easy:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/0F8A7E6C-5854-40CB-8642-621746AD3C7B_zpshcqvpjvc.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/0F8A7E6C-5854-40CB-8642-621746AD3C7B_zpshcqvpjvc.jpg.html)

Then fit the turbo, found a couple of things, the comp housing had to be rotated but that was no big issue. However I then discovered that (I assume) due to the turbo kit being designed for a S-Chassis that with the mid-mount manifold the turbo was hitting the inner wing, there was no way all these parts were not being fitted to my car though so we made some 'room':

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/B5413C3F-6F8F-431E-8EE2-6CEA81B4CD06_zpscx06rvz3.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/B5413C3F-6F8F-431E-8EE2-6CEA81B4CD06_zpscx06rvz3.jpg.html)

and got the turbo on:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/987F68A1-721D-4FE1-B299-60EF8AB6C3E1_zpsd3rgzyta.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/987F68A1-721D-4FE1-B299-60EF8AB6C3E1_zpsd3rgzyta.jpg.html)

and the wastegate fitted:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/25959651-AF00-4364-AAC5-CC8EE28E7A60_zpsv7wvzewp.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/25959651-AF00-4364-AAC5-CC8EE28E7A60_zpsv7wvzewp.jpg.html)

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/6497939D-A807-4AEA-9FB9-1B73E37AEFD6_zpshup0fbb3.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/6497939D-A807-4AEA-9FB9-1B73E37AEFD6_zpshup0fbb3.jpg.html)

I am just waiting on one silicone joiner that I now need for the intercooler pipes to fit and I will also need to fabricate up a downpipe and the car should be running again. I also had to relocate my boost controller solenoid and power steering reservoir.

One of the other issues I want to address is one I might of mentioned earlier in the thread, ever since I have reduced the rear camber to near zero and lowered the car more the bottom spring seat of coilover has been coming in contact with the rear camber arm when the car is jacked up, it seems fine when the wheels are on the ground and the car is static but I am a little worried about what might happen if the car squats a lot or I am driving on a rough surface or do a jump or something!

I had a pair of Tein springs that were 25mm shorter laying around so I fitted them as they would allow me to raise the bottom spring seat 25mm, it has helped a little but I still have the same problem:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/93826FEE-0927-4533-AFC9-A6BDE11678E0_zpstr63bmba.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/93826FEE-0927-4533-AFC9-A6BDE11678E0_zpstr63bmba.jpg.html)

I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about shock travel and I think the only way that I might cure the problem is to fit drop knuckles but that is money that I just don't have right now and probably won't have for a while.

As I mentioned previously the GKTech eccentric throttle wheel I got seems to be fouling when fitted, I grabbed a pic of where it is fouling, maybe someone else has experienced this?

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh103/driftescort/E21E4467-7D70-474B-95E2-F4E2F7A262E5_zpsrwvisptp.jpg (http://s254.photobucket.com/user/driftescort/media/E21E4467-7D70-474B-95E2-F4E2F7A262E5_zpsrwvisptp.jpg.html)

So that is about where it stands now, hopefully running soon and then I will just have to start saving to get it mapped again.

235/40/17 Front tyres and 265/35/18 Rear tyres
Rear Geomasters
Drag wing
New stickers
Lots of other little bits and pieces

One of the biggest visual changes is the fitment of 17/18 stagger Work XT7s supplied by JDMDistro - Buy JDM Parts Online Worldwide Shipping | Japanese performance car parts direct from Japan (http://www.jdmdistro.com/)

Last week I took it out for a test at a local (very tight!) track and I made a video, mostly just to so everyone can hear the noise it is now making with the new turbo set-up which I am very happy with! Very Nakamura-esque :)
