View Full Version : my improved 411bhp silvia
got the car fully mapped today by FC Tuning from england.. car ran perfect!!
making good power from the off,
it made 361bhp at fly before the timing was touched,
made 399bhp at 1.4bar so then put in octante booster in and small tweak on map and made 411bhp at fly, 350 at the wheels and 450 ft lb of torque!!
its an absolute animal now and cant wait to get it out on track!!

This FC Tuning guy ive heard so much about? How is for N/A's like surely there is only so much ya can do with a map but he's getting good reviews everywhere wouldnt mind trying him out mapping the 20v, Nice figures there mate!

it was always very torquey even tho sr's are normally square with hp and torque or little lower
it just under 450 like 447 or so, he emailing me all details and vids, pics and dyno sheets tomorrow,

Ok here comes the stupid questions.
My X81 and the Wifes S14, neither have PFC or any of that stuff, she has a remapped ecu of some sort. Would it be a waste or possible for him to have a look and make sure they are running safe for irish fuel n shit or is there much he could do?

For the ecu to be mapped it needs to be programmable or chiped........ Find out what it is but if its just standered he'l need a ecu or a nistune for the 14.....!

I know for a fact the X81 ECU is boggo, cos I have two of them here. The Silvia ECU is a "Remapped ROM" according to the spec sheet so fuck knows what that is exactly. Its still at Ebisu so I wont know anytime soon lol!

every GTRS puts out slightly different power i was told as its just a 2871r with housings machined by HKS, its the cams that made me break the 400bhp bargin

he completely changed all settings that martin tracy put on it and explained why he was changing them,
you learn alot about what goes into mapping cars with steve,
at least with him you are watching the car being mapped and not droppin it off and coming back 8hours later or so

hasnt been dry here really yet, it will take a bit of getting used ta in the wet anyway as its very very tail happy now, just spins them up for fun,
hoping to get it out in mondello or goldstone soon to see what it can really do :cool:
