V-Cheap to convert it to commercial, just take out the rear seats and seat belts, plug their mountimg holes with weld, get it weighed, get it DOE'ed job done.

What way does the new boot floor need to be done??

iv done loads of them you need a flat floor with a minimum of a 6" up stand behind the front seats, seat and seat belt holes welded up, weigh it, get a certifict of own goods singed by the garda and tax office, doe it, tax it then

If the VRT has already been paid you don't have to do anything with the floor, just remove seats and belts and weld over the mounting holes. If its a vehicle you're trying to bring into the country as a goods vehicle then you have to fit the floor as the VRT office inspect it and will only pass it with a floor.

the tax office will have to inspect it before taxing it it wont pass with out a floor and also in order to pass a doe it has to have a minimum of a 6" upstand behind the seats for safty

my oul one works in the tax office i got all that info off her a few years back it may have changed, but this is the way iv been doing them for years and have never had a problem

I'm a DOE tester, nothing in the regs about a floor or an up stand(none of the dealer converted commercials have an upstand), the council can't refuse them for not having a floor as the council's set the reg's about not needing a floor, just remove seats and belts, weld over mount holes get it weighed and DOE'ed and hey presto cheap commercial tax:D

So just rape out the rear interior, weld over seat belt mounting points and bring it to you for a DOE :D:D
Is cheap tax before or after DOE?

After DOE, yep all you need to do is bin the interior and weld over mount points, get the jeep weighed at a weighbridge , get DOE test then tax away as commercial:D
