View Full Version : Site Downtime & Updates
As of a few hours ago, I have been granted full administrator access for DI. I managed to bring the site back online after the week or so downtime. Im not sure how the site was taken down, but i've changed all codes, updated all software and removed old versions of the site that were still on the server.
Hopefully these measures will decrease the chances of further downtime and future issues.
If anyone gets any errors, blank pages or otherwise, feel free to send me over a pm.
LONG LIVE DRIFTIRELAND :)

''New posts'' working fine for me on the laptop?I know on the phone its not very ''phone friendly''. New posts is on the menu bar on the left
Can you bring back the New Posts button for the menu bar ?
that was never gone?
I see it on the top left!
Just to let phone users know, you can change the look back to the 'old' look towards the bottom there's a 'View Full Site' link that should sort you out.
What happened yesterday out of curiosity?
Is it a server problem or people getting into security and fucking around?
hosting company issues. they are not happy with the spam filters on the site, which have now been updated and they'll be watching closely.
when ye see the error 403, its a manual suspension by the hosting company
good to have the site back, fair play andrew

Site looks great, great effort been put in :)
yeah great stuff man! I'd only change the logo a bit though. Take the gradient out and just leave it white. It's very hard to make it out if you don't recognise it.

like the look of the site, about time it had an update. still think that the driftireland logo needs modernizing.

I don't think we should touch the logo. It's very recognisable and would be very easy to ruin people's association with the 'hay day' of drifting. It's simple, loads of cars have the logo stickers already. I think that changing it would be a bad move.

looks 100% better and really stands out now
logo changed to white
bang on now :) Thanks so much for doing all this work dude. It means a lot to me and to everyone who comes here regularly. I know that people say that facebook is taking over and all that but it obviously doesn't satisfy everyone's needs. I'd just ask people to keep their build threads up to date, or even revive old build threads with as little as a recent pic.
Fair play man! Great to see that someone cares as much as we do and is willing to put in the effort to keep progressing.
It's getting better and better. The ads are spot on too. Really grab your attention. Great work again man!
Cheers larz/lads. have managed to get the old .com domain forwarded to the .ie, and have limited access to the facebook page also.
Things are moving along nicely :)
Yay the smileys are back!!
