New kind of, been involved in the site since the beginning, mainly lurking in the for sale section.

Bought a new car and decided i should probably become a fully fledged ordinary decent member.
Drive a TA22 with a CA18DET swap

Thanks lads, I'll get around to a build thread.

Need to find someone who will weld a swirl tank - woeful smell of petrol in the car since the swap.

Very cool! I always loved the fastback, but recently started preferring the coupe. What is the body like? Looks very clean! Any reason you went for a CA18?

Ya should get it out to a Cars & Coffee sometime in Dublin, would love to see it.

Unfortunately I didn't do the swap myself.
I did fancy the RA28 a little more but become more and more enamoured with the TA22.

Body is pretty mint, small patches of pain starting to bubble.
Car is idling a little high at the moment, needs a bigger rad and a bigger fan along with a swirl tank.

The interior is pretty much all in the back seat, needs a retrim / new door cards.
I'll be sticking in a hilux diff with a 4.1.1 ratio, probably some disk brakes from a hilux as well, better get started on the build tread I guess :P

Thats epic, any engine bay pics?
What rad did you use and what size intercooler?
Very little room in the bay
