View Full Version : Charity Drift Day - 31/01/10
Hey All
Got a Call yesterday about a Drift Day for Charity next Sunday the 31 of Janurary at Kartworld, Watergrasshill, Cork. Basically it will be drifting from 9am til 1pm, followed by Paintballing.
There are alot of Top Drivers Signed up, Mike & James Deane, Darren Mac, Jp Mccarthy, Carpo etc, and im gonna be driving too.
What im looking for is a few passengers to take out, i already have a definate 2, so 2 needed. Its 52 Euro Per Person, that includes half a days passo rides in the Chaser and Paintballing after. Should be an enjoyable day and for a great cause too. The Charity the Money is going to is Hope.
If its somethibg your interested in let me know asap, definate interest only!! Also if ud just like to come along to watch then do...........

I want to say sorry to all the drivers I scared in the last few minutes! I promise it was worth it!

I am relay upset that I could not make it. Loaded the car on the trailer ready for the trip this morning. The complications with my wisdom teeth operation got the better of me last night and I had a violent reaction to one of the tablets and ended up in a bad way.
I hope that the money is put to good use by the charity.

RobbieYou missed a good day. I was keeping an eye out for you till aroun 12 then figured you weren't going to make it. I though it might have been down to weather.

Thanks Martin, I was feeling well dodge all night. I was sure the ceiling was moving all the time. I must say I dont feel great now but its a huge improvement.

Thats coz the drifting was finished at 1.
I called up @ 11 and there was a good crowd.
James Deane was doing some massive entries into turn 1.
John Paul McCarthy,Mike+James put on a good show with the 3 of them drifting together :cool:
Who was driving the red cam ? He was giving it socks all day ,well able to drift too.
Was it an SR20 powered ae86 james, candy apple red?
What a day, the rule book sure went out the window!! :) Handbrake sucked ass in the morning but started to bite later on n it was all good!! The Deanes, Jp Mac and Mike Fitz were on fire all day! All the twinning and threeing going on was unreal! Was glad the crowd was small id say in all i got bout 70-80 laps!!
Paintball was a laugh, blue team FTW!! Pity bout the baldy marshall on the blob but i was fuked neway!! Fairplay to Kartworld for a great day!
shit was a couple hours late so by the sound of it i missed a good day:(

What a day lads I must say, I never had as much fun at WGH, serious amount of track time, great fun taking people for spins:eek: and the paint balling topped it off...As for the rx7, I dont think the car has ever beeing going soo well, loads of speed, loads of traction:)
Every one was driving well today.....Looking forward to this season to kick off:)

Very nice teaser, think thats me in the background, wtf was i at? That new thing u were doing with the pole was kool Martin........Must get a disc of carporn from ya asap!
It was interesting. I'll be investing in a better pole for the next time. The shots were sweet but would have been better if the camera was horizontal instead of vertical.

Went down today for a look,some very impressive driving jp mack was on form,mike Deane was class,but James Deane man u were on fire lad,serious speed looked grippy and agressive shapeing up to be ur yeAr year me thinks;) just hope I get to do a bit of twining with ya at some stage over the year,

Thanks very much man;) Really happy with the car, getting to grips with it now (About time I suppose:D) its so different to drive to a silvia or ae86 or anything like that, you just really have to be awake driving it lol

What a day! Yep, rule book defo went out the window! Pity Robbie couldnt bring the Skyline, it would have been sum sight on the watergrasshill track, I was looking forward to it! Sum craic, rakes of track time, impromptu twin battles, James and Mike and Jp Mac on fire as usual, rounding the 2nd hairpin only to see Muttly with his 2 foot pole in his hand :D and Chuck, I think we need to join the army :p
I say they wouldnt take us man, we couldnt organise a fig into a fig roll!! And my own men kept shooting me! :)

Ha ha no bod lad, yeah she did say that! Just the thing you want herself to say when theres a gang around to hear it lol! It's great to see someone pushing the boat out even further with photography with new angles and techniques. I have two in car vids with the boys holding the cam but I dont think u wer in either, Ill check there again in a min tho dude
