Hello to all,

I live on the little Island of Okinawa south of Japan mainland. Been here for a little over two years, and only have 7 months left before I PCS to my next assignment, wherever that may be.

I found this site thru some local hachi guys pointing me to part vendors, and as I one day hope to reside in Ireland, I thought it fitting to make an account.

After owning a plethora of s13 in the states I went with something different here, and picked up a zenki ae86 apex coupe. Did a little work, coilovers, wheels, a seat, then sold it as it was a little rusty for my liking.

I got another trueno coupe in "better" condition, which proved to be a lie as Okinawan body shops are notorious for body filler and patching metal with coke cans. No joke. This corolla wouldn't pass our JCI inspection but had some nice parts on it, ae92 block, hks cams, some nice deep XR4s… So I sold it to a local ae86 maniac who has since been fixing all the rust and prepping for JCI.

I went up to Osaka last year to go to the auction in Kobe, and get prices for the import business I want to launch after I leave the Air Force, and came across a very clean levin coupe outside. It wasn't for sale, but with a little negotiation and detective work, the previous owner relinquished her to me, and I shipped her down to Okinawa.

It already had the cleanest silvertop 20v swap I have seen to date, with working heat and a/c which is good on a subtropical island.

I threw on my wheels, doridori meshies 15x8j -2, and 15x9.5j +5, type s coilovers, some adjustable rods and traction brackets, my zeta 3, and my nardi. Still a work in progress but I am in love.

Thanks for reading, and if anyone has some levin fog lights lying round, let me know.

Jake

I appreciate all the kind words for my green lady, and for those who enjoyed my don't fucking lift tach pep talk device.

Here are some pictures from when I got the car, and my new seat. I love how the colour changes in the sun.

Im actually not that far from you at the minute, in the Philippines, but Im only here on holiday (vacation). Nice AE86! What paint is it exactly? If its one of the Chromaflair paints it shouldnt be too hard to match again........

Not too sure to be honest, twas painted when I got it. It looks like an oem colour of some sort, possibly a blend? I need to get a shop to colour match it for me so I can keep it this way. I'm quite fond of it.
