View Full Version : s14 road car rebuild (time got the finger out)!!
wel lads ive had this for quite a while now .. and havent done whole pile with it since ive had it .. wasnt sure what i wantd ta do with it for a gud while . was in two minds ta sell or not so it was parkd up for ages at one the lads houses .. so i made the decession that im keeping it after all the parts ive gathered up for it in the last while ... so plans for it .. full respray and go plastic kit .. do all undernearth properly with shutzs ect .. fit all the stuff got for it and have ta get another few bits .. bits i have 2871r,550s,z32 and have ta get cams .. genuine nissan wind deflectors .. gandor mirrors .. all arms for the back.. roof spoiler and mabye boot aswel .. sit it properly on the equips i got refurbed a while back .. aim to have it seriouly low and drive it .. :) .. prob will take a while as im in no panic .. do it wright once and be done .. so heres a cupla pics of how it was when i got it home before it went to its new home for the next while .. :p

so got it in and stard doing a bit striping down ... i was afraid of me life taking off the skirts (bitch of a job tigersealed on) that id find somethin i didnt want too !!! but thank god the sills and that are sound ..

oh nice what colour are you going for? what size equips are you putting on?
ahh prop goin ta go red again but a brighter shade .. ?? the equips are 17s all round not sure of the offsets but here the link of pics of them when kruizer had finished doin yhe refurb ..

thanks buck .. who are you nyway ?? cant remem !!! :) I wount be putting any kit on this . as the shell is sold .. as I was strippn it down more and more .. I was coming across little bitns rust here and there .. so I said no goin doin this once and building it properly , and it was buging me that it was wasn't jap !!! I know daft but that's just how it was .. so put up a wanted add for a shell thinking I wouldn't get what im after .. but to my surprize I did .. a jap 14a shell complete enough with few nice bits .. shell needs bit work as whoever painted was useless .. the ole fella do better job with the roller .. so I have ta go and collect that .. this weekend hopefully and tear in that ... ill get pics up when its home ..

Shit buzz about the shell being rusty hopefully the new shell is a good'un and you get to build a good solid car for yourself! Atleast you'll know what you have then and from stripping this you will remember where bits go etc!

so got a hold of a 14a shell few weeks back .. startd striping it down when got it .. the wireing was a mess in it who ever had it done would want be be kicked round the place and for the paint job it was just as bad .. but the shell it self was very straight besides .. have the subframes out and bay striped ect tidyd up as much of the wireing I can for now .. its ready for schultzs now nearly and hope ta get the bay and subframes ready then .. heres a pic or two of how it is now ..

rite so its being a while since updated this but here goes .. hard get anything done with work and that but its coming to gether now slowly !!! bay is painted now thank god .. torture is the only word ta explain what preping a bay is like . came out well though i think .. hes fairly good with thye gun !!

so that done ... put back in the sub frames gave them a quick freshen up of black and new driftworks bushings in pack and bolted them up .. no pics ye know what sub frames and bushings are like !!!
so next was engine .. got new rear crank oil seal and rocker coverr gasket .. fitted them .. nismo lightened flywheel and exedy puk clutch .. boltd up box and that was that done .. next was turbo .. news gaskets and bolted that the mani and on with that .. heat wrapded the mani while was out .. gave the block and that good clean while was out so looks fairly ok .. so hopefully be no stupid oil leaks now .. also fitted baffel sump as well

so getting on with this now .. hopefully be going away get wired shortly as im useless with wires and i want it done wright .. so its getn there at last ..

Is there a flip colour in that paint or is it just the pictures? Should be a nice car and now you have the redtop not as farty non vvt sr20 to top it all off. Keep it up!

Just the deep red colour then it looks well! Nothing stopping you atall your in a perfect position to make it really good your on the right track as it is! Thanks lad appreciate that! Ill be keeping tabs on this build anyway so keep updating it, with pics aswell gotta have pics :)

ive loads more bits and pieces there too just there all over the place .. soo while i wasnt at alot yesterday eve decided to give my sets a wheels and the recaro a quick clean as they were coverd in dust from being left up in loft ..

So it's being quite a while since I up dated this but I thought I had lost interest in these .. after sending the car away ta get wired .. it came back just a disaster .. just too long of a story too get into .. just had lost all heart in it after that .. thought was going to get out of it altogether .. was left untouched for ages .. didn't know what ta do .. but then one the landed a zenki 14 na .. very very clean .. always wanted a kouki but this bit too clean let pass so we made deal .. put redtop running gear in ect .. soon ready ta go stiv ta get wired and maped (man is a gent ta deal with) .. few pics of how sits at moment
