not really.been driving this since anyways, it has an oil leak that I need to sort and a balljoint (by the sounds of it).

I fitted a garage vary replica plastic splitter, and some red leads that were in the boot. I also did a few skids today, ill upload the video when its up on youtube!

anyways! some more progress! this yoke has had a pretty significant oil leak since i got it so today i had it down in di motorsport for jay to sort, upon taking off the rocker cover and cambelt cover it was obvious whoever had been at it before was butcher. he changed the cam oil seals and the rocker cover gasket so thats that sorted!

went to fit em but the wheelnuts were too big to fit into the holes so panic set in, however i was saved by japstyle.org and picked up some internal drive steel wheel nuts! great price and seem solid!

so mondello drift day is on saturday so did a bit of prep today. Gave it a service, fitted 2 tow straps that I got from japystle.org and fitted some extra lock washers, seem to have made a nice bit of difference that ive noticed juts by the turning radius! will be getting the diff welded during the week. couple of random pics

it actually doesnt rub at all! its not really low arch to tyre, its just the chassis rails are a bit too close to the ground for comfort

well, had a fucking great day in mondello. driving the mx5 is the complete opposite end of the scale to driving the nissans ive driven at mondello before!

first session the track was wet, which i thought would be great, but no, was getting far too much horrible understeer then snapping into grip and chucking me around, mainly into the grass or gravel.

after the first 2 sessions all was good, had still used no tires or petrol and was getting the hang of it now that it was dry! all corners bar the last corner were flick and clutch kick entry as it was the easiest (but scariest?) way to get it to avoid understeer and keep the speed up!

did 6 sessions, not one fluid leak, not one tool was taken out, and only changed wheels once! fantaaaaastic! so so much fun. top of 3rd gear ~ 130kph flicks are amazing fun!

have gopro footage on my mates camera ill stick it up as soon as i get it!

a couple pics that popped up on fb. splitter got pulled off in the gravel one of the times i went across it!
