i have recently converted my m3 to alpha n mode and have ditched the intake and airflow meter setup and i am lookin for a filter set up to go onto the individual throttle bodys or a cheapish replica carbon/ fiberglass air intake but cannot find anything

this is what i have atm which is completely unfiltered

Good few drift cars are running them un-filtered. has its risks but seem to be doing ok.

If making up new stacks and filters like in that pic, be careful how long you make the runners as it can make a big difference to low to mid-range torque.

cheap air-boxes are around the 700 mark for fiberglass ones upto around 3000 for top quality carbon CSL style and race versions
If you or knew somebody handy with fiber-glassing, you could make one up too.

I'll probably just use my standard airbox without the MAF and a large air-filter until I either buy an airbox or get one made. The original plenum probably doesn't flow much worse if at all than a couple of open or made up DIY stacks anyway. BMW aren't really known for making restrictive inlet or exhaust systems to be fair... unless they are made do so like the stupid M52 stuff :D

Could ya not just use bike carb filters and fiddle them a bit. Or i seen a redtop before with just mesh over them think it was just fuckin mesh off a car speaker
