Bonjour ! :D

Names chris been on here for a while said id throw up a project thread on the owl bus ! so here goes..........

Firstly, bought the car off driftworks from a guy up north bout a year and a half ago . For the first year it was a disaster every mans nightmare ELECTRICS !! ,as well as electrics i had come home the night of the terrential floods we had back a good while ago and water had gone down the firewall and down into the grommet for the loom ,yes ECU ! AFM loom destroyed from corrosion when drying out causing a disaster , while dat was in getting sorted crank pick up lobe thingy on the cam snapped off and wouldnt let car turn over ! so that was sorted and i was back on the road a year later !!!!!!!! when i had her back she got taxed cleaned tyres just a few bits here and there ...........so a week or so went by and afm loom struck again this time it got stripped out dryed cleaned and taped up bingo,thanks to ian byrne in clane genious !!!!


So now i was properly back on the road and i went on the hunt for an ecu funninly enough it came with a standard one ,so i searched and searched and searched and finally got a power fc off JPS trading in japan........

ecu went in and was sent on her way to westward !! car wouldnt boost past 0.5 so it got mapped to that, found the problem sent it back down and remapped again wont go into it but wasnt happy at all !

So it went to a friends friend in the game coture autos on my mates rollers ,got the car back alot better than before so was delighted!!!


And now this is where she stands 0.9 bar 285 bhp !

Update- main and big end bearings ready to rock ,pistons a one off 0.5 mm oversized and none in stock any where in the solar system :D so had to get them made specially just for me cause im great :D went for Forged J.E. Pistons in the end ........ so just waiting on pistons to be made then the whole lot are coming toghether then we can get cracking .......well i mean paul can :D ! .........oh and engine bay got a degreasing and removal of some crap just to tidy things up ..............just a waiting game now :)

These pistons have been custom made as a one off for this build, They look too nice to hide inside an engine.:D

They are .5mm oversized at 78.5mm and have extra oil channels to aid cooling.

so do i !! electrical problem has come back to haunt me , so fuckn disheartn at this stage ,goin to strip the afm loom down tomorrow up in pauls examine it ,check continuity ,connetions etc ,as when i disturb the loom it causes a hunt or jump in the revs and also napping out ..........

We tried a new ac valve yest and a brand new z32 on it .......until i mentioned the loom (see 1st post on thread as to why ) i pulled the loom for the afm/injectors about and got some what of stable/better idle so off with all the insulating tape to examine the loom tomorrow have an electrician mate with me who is very skilled at this stuff so hoping he can help ...........and i can make my booking on wednesday

..............but at the moment to say the least im ragn over it ,yet keepn the head up to get it sorted and move on .....

Low and behold it was the common faulty cas !!! ....we had a spare one there ready to go so we banged that on and boomski !!!! she ticked over like a mouses heart . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . fuckn delighted :D , wasnt the word ! the smile on pauls face was as big as mine cause the car just didnt want t leave that garage at all we had one other small issue nothing major 2 sec job and that was it , left the garage with me out of date insurance cert (was insured) and 4 months outa tax :D ............. and believe it or not a bita nct in the window :D


Off to tdp on wednesday morning for a quick base map then run it in for a while before i go on holidays portugal might i add :D then when i come home , finish off running it in before the final map to finally up the boost and get this snail working ....................... :D

Ok girls today fitted two new brembo front dicsc's , drilled and grooved with pbr pads ! slight difference in braking still running them in will give the verdict soon while i was at it i fitted two new track rod ends to the front also ..... pics soon enough

also me wand came on friday evening so wana say thanks to finn in drive n style for his undertanding and great business like approach ,ur a gent man ! hope to sort that out one of the days and get it fitted correctly as ive heard to many bogey fitting story's etc etc
