Hi Guys,

Been a fan of drifing for a long time now. bought myself a 200sx /S14A last weekend, After talking about buying something for years.
It's gonna be a track only car!

I have very little mechanical knowledge, but i'm willing to get stuck in and learn.
so there'll be plenty of posts from me.....right down to which type of oil goes in a silvia.

I don't have a garage or any fancy equipment like engine lifts etc. But i do have plenty of driveway space and access to decent tools.

So the plan is to get the diff welded up and stick in a hydro -thats enough to get out for a few track days, then i can plan on upgrading suspension, brakes and a few engine tweeks.

This project will be on a major budget, using mostly second-hand parts, due to the fact i have a mortgage, daughter and am saving for a wedding!

Advice from people will be key - This weekend i'v started stripping the interior, got a bit done still need to tackle the centre console so i can find a suitable spot to mount the new hydro.

Any tricky bits i should know about dash removal etc or anything about S14's in general, gimme a heads up! :D

Cheers

Welcome along, great starter car! I'm only down the road from ye so fire any questions at me, know only too well how to run a skid car on a budget! Do it in a slow progression. Sounds like you'll go the right direction though

Few pics of her......... pretty standard car.
Has apexi air filter, bigger rad and adjustable boost (not gonna turn the boost up)
Gonna run standard power for the mo. strip out a bit of weight...

Did my level 2 prodrift academy a few months back - had Alan Sinnot as my instructer... his advice is to start with something shit and learn to drive it well before ya go spending a lot of cash.

Till do grand, picked up a welded diff, hydro, bucket seats, harness and bumper tonight so once there all fitted she'll be ready to slide.

The colour is shit, will respray it down the line. not sure what colour - i think they look sexy in midnight purple.
I want to have the rocket bunny look down the line too, but dunno if purple will tie in with that.
