lads got japspeed tie rods and ends off mark gaffney few weeks back. Just got round to fitting them and i have them set to exact same length as the standard items only i have added euro coins each side for better lock.

i have them on and set as good as my eye can tell.
(obviously be properly set before using the car)

the drivers side looks ok but passenger wheels pointing in slightly and there is no more adjustment on the rod as it seems that the rod has gone as far into the threaded sleeve as the threads will allow. i removed some of the euro coins on passenger side so seems better now.

Should the rods be slightly different lenghts??

also my car was originally a 14a n/a and doesnt seem to have had a rear anti roll bar. this is hardly normal is it??? ill defo need one i presume??

sorry for silly questions but only way ill learn

cheers

Is the rack centred ? There's no real need for fancy ones realy man unless u have modded hubs or bottom arms? Or car is retarded low as they can sit lower?

The japspeed Rods have built in extra lock spacers so by putting in the washers your probably just maxed out

We had no problem's on Marks car... They where just straight into the rack, no spacer's euro coins ect. . . ?

Try taking the coin's out

The N/A S14's came with no rear arb, is there a mounting point on the chassis for them actually?
And remove your tie rods and centre the rack, it just sounds like the rack is off centre

just go inside and count the turns lock to lock, reason i said to take off the tie rod end (just remove them from the hubs) is because the lock stops will be in your way

Just count the turns from lock to lock and half it is what we did to centre the rack
