Really need help on this one, the car developes a really bad misfire when it warms up, until finally it would only run on 2 cylinders with no spark on 1&2.
I checked the ignitor and saw the seal around the heat sink had melted. Replaced with new ignitor same again except i caught it in time before any damage was done. Is it possible theres a short circuit some where causing it to heat up?

id be looking at earths man? have u a good engine earth, is coils loom earth eyes connected?

Ye i added an extra one to the neg terminal of the battery and cleaned up the one for the coils where its bolted to the IM. Same thing happening after 5min of idle the ignitor gets red hot!

Sorted! The loom was frayed against the bracket for the abs pump!

So it was earthing off it ? Good stuff dude !!

Ye the bracket for the abs pump ate through the plastic and 4 wires and earthing off the bracket. real pain trying to get abit of solder on the wires and insulate them with the pump in the way!
