Well lads was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me on here,

I have a 318i '00 E46 bmw saloon, and after driving the car for few weeks the coolant low light came on, on the dash. Topped up the coolant and antifreeze light went off but came back on again there this evening after about 2 weeks of driving?. What would this be? Leaky rad, faulty sensor and what would the remedy or solution be?

Cheers

Buy a box of tea bags sit back and make tae..

Get it pressure tested see if you can see any visual leaks from rad or any hoses after that I'd just compression test it see if any 2 cylinders are down on compression

Those yokes are a nightmare of a yoke, always leakin. Let it get up to temp and have a look around all the hoses, look for water stains etc

Have a look at the expansion bottle for hairline cracks .when the car gets hot they open an let the coolant out

Ill have a look there today at some stage but the level has definitely gone back down on it so ill warm it up and see if i can see anything.

Hope its nothing too serious!?? Would a bottle of that rad sealant stuff do any good or would ye have to be sure its the rad thats the problem before you'd use it.?
