Probably should have started a build thread on this a long time ago on here, but oh well!

Some of you may remember this car from whenever Choppy had it. Basically I ploughed my money into a civic and thought I was going to keep it forever, until Dylan decided to take me out in his s13 shortly after it was completed. From then I decided that I was an idiot for spending so much on the civic, and as soon as Dylan put the s13 up for sale I knew I had to buy it.

I ended up swapping the civic for a stage 3A import S14 with a 14A kouki front, it was an absolute beast. Although I only owned it for a few days before I let it go because I had my mind set on an S13, personally I just like them a LOT better.

Before I took it the kouki stuff was sold and also the wheels. That's what I wanted anyways, as I wanted to go a different direction with it. Hours have been cut in work recently so progress has been very very slow, I've just been driving it as it should be :)

Over the next couple of months I hope to have it sitting in a fairly good state. Just blew a LOT of money on parts for it, just need to sort out a new bodykit and paint and it will be awesome once again. Already know everything I'm going to get, so I'll keep yous updated once the ball starts rolling.

My old bastard of a civic:

Successfully fitted the coilovers with no bother what so ever, not a seized nut in sight! :) test fitted the bumpers, the front is an absolutely terrible fit and the rear is alright actually!

And Choppy ate my maoam, cunt!

R33 GTST full brake setup. Absolutely necessary as the S14 brakes that were on the car were seized solid as the car was sitting for about 8 months!

Refurbed my brakes in BMW sparkling graphite and they came out pretty well, and fitted the TERRIBLE fitting bumpers. Still not perfect, but will do until I get rocketbunny stuff.

Brakes After their first good clean and degrease, look terrible lol.

Alright, well I put it through MOT and it failed on numerous shitty things! All wee small things though so it's not too bad. The only big thing was the rear wheel bearing was away. I changed that at the weekend and it was a NIGHTMARE. The hub obviously hadn't been split since it was made and the 4x 19mm bolts and 27mm bolt was basically welded in, after hours trying with breaker bars and heat I went and borrowed a corded impact gun which got the job done no problem. Definitely buying my own, not bad for £60! Then another couple of hours was spent with a hammer and chisel set to actually get the hub split :(

Here's some pictures.

Breaker bar trying to get the 27mm bastard off. lol

Not many updates really, just been driving it! Although some nice goodies lined up for it very soon.

Got a snap off boss as I've had some security issues with it recently! Belfast is a lovely place to live.

Trying to do as much of the work myself too, so far I haven't managed to break anything! Not doing too bad as before the only mechanical experience I had was fitting coilovers lol.

Yeh he was originally going to break it, but I came to save the day. Although its a UK 200 shell it's absolutely 100% solid. 5 stud hubs, 14 lower arms which are +20mm (I think?) and a forged SR20DET blacktop :) couldn't be happier with it.

Just makes me wonder what I was thinking with the civic, but I'm sure that's where a lot of us started.

Had an eventful day driving from Belfast to Co.Laoise to collect a bootlid from Stephen Carr. Brilliant guy to deal with, especially since he put up with us Northern dicks getting lost everywhere lol! Ended up with a new doorcard, as mine has a couple of tears and plastics broken and some sun-visors.

At least I can give my head a bit more peace now with the safety of my car at night as it doesn't have binbags as a window anymore!

Everything in my friends forester.
