as there is not much room in the bay of the mk2 escort and i want to fit a bigger rad and electric fan.
can i cut off the first pulley as it does nothing or would it upset the crank balance etc ??

get another pulley and test it on that. is there no way the rad will go further foward? or you could go fit the rad in the back and get a shit tonne of piping :P

Not running the power steering pump as this is fitted in a mk2 escort. Im running electric power steering.
The bay is not got much room and I have the rad as far forward as possible.

Ye as the lads said bring it a machine shop and get them to throw it on the lathe shouldn't be too expensive it's an easy enough job

Should be a simple job, in theory but none the less shouldn't cost too much to do. I'm on a lathe most of the time in work lol

As for balance, you should get it balanced, just like a flywheel if you removed excess material
