Well back at it again was planning on just tubbing my arches but ended up with half the car cut up anyway just gonna go all out this time then hopefully ill be able to leave it alone,

Started making some brackets for my lights the old ones won't work with my intercooler set up, will be using a push/pull actuator on these

Wanted to make up a bumper bar that my skid plate will bolt onto , iv no pipe benders and was to impatient to wait to get it done so , happy enough with it anyway

Anyone any idea what the best turbo set up would be for that engine I've a hks 2540 off my old engine there, not sure if I should use that or go for something a bit bigger? Any ideas what kinda hp it would be capable of?

Ye was thinking that myself , I have my old engine sold to david89 here for his ps13 got raped on mates rates ha, might have a few bits for sale when I'm finished, only have the front bumper left but ill probably just hang onto it as a spare

I'm not sure , but if they noticed I'm sure could just get an engineers report done and then shouldn't be a problem , to be honest it ll probably never see an nct as long as I own it I'd probably have to strip it to pieces to get it through as far as emission s , wheels , noise etc?

Ye wheels are being re painted I was painting the car black and the bay/ wheels that pearl red it would have been nice , but Iv done a few black re sprays lately and there just too hard to keep clean
I got an email off chase bays the loom is being made at the minute , but ye as fair as delays there taking there time, if Its not a brand new loom ill go mad ha
Ye spoiler should look well I've few other ideas I'm doing so should all tie in wheel be different anyway

whats that connector you posted about? whats the benefit of it as opposed to the regular engine loom, bar getting rid of a load of shit

I'm not 100% on what I'm doing with the fuse box yet I'm trying to basically get rid of everything I don't need , iv the interior loom all stripped all the shit I don't want is gone it will still have the basics as for heating ill have a new set up ripping all the factory parts out , the goal is simple not bundles of wires and crap , the mil spec connector basically let s you disconnect the whole engine loom

The wheels were catchin the arch and couldn't lower it anymore probably bit extreme doing it because of that , but I put a twin cam in a ditch few years ago because of the wheel jamming

Wait till you see all the wire thats not used i did mine last year
i took apart the bay fuse box and fitted under the dash on my 15 there a tread about doing it on zilvia
Ye it's well worth doing makes it so much easy to work on the car I done it with my last loom too but reckon just go all out this time and strip everything , probably nearly be easier to make a new loom

Spent stupid amount of hours prepping the shell and parts everything has be blocked out at every step to get it as straight as possible with black you d see every ripple in the fiberglass , I ve painted the car then blocked the lacquer down and finished with a further 3 coats of lacquer so 6 altogether really makes a huge difference with the black, as said earlier these are really shit quality pics

Ye stupid amounts of prep I had it fairly straight anyway from the red but still ended up blocking every panel twice before paint then blocked them out wet sanding after was worth it you can't make it out in the shit picture s there but it's like glass
Ye was thinking a light gun metal Grey for the centres of the wheels ill see what the red looks like first could be nice when it's finished and sitting right again
some brave man to go black with fiber glass!! insane.. would love to see this in person

Anybody know where I can get a turbo elbow to go onto this is 3" v band iv an extra 2" spacer on the manifold aswell even something close to fitting that I could modify to fit

Im on the home straight now after 4 weeks of fault finding pulling poxy wires apart trying to find a short, turn s out all my wiring was good it was chasebays loom that was the problem the igniter wired backwards:mad: I think I should get a Hefty discount on something for all that shit and the hours and hours spend trying to find the bloody problem, not just a crapy email apology
Your not the only one that had hardship with that loom I was reading loads of storys in the states. Looks like There cutting corners. Atleast its sorted now! Crack on with that mad build!
In all fairness the qaulity is really spot on with the loom it's well made , fits perfect , everything brand new that was the only real problem , just think should get more than just a sorry for having to put in so much time in finding the problem

Ye bit of a joke getting a reply like that the loom is spot on now running the car but that's not the point gonna email the owner of chase bay , the lad I was dealing with was the lad who made it not the owner so I'd say he's trying to keep it quite to cover his own ass
