Hi All, had the clutch give way a few weeks ago,
i bought a Exedy 3puck clutch kit, to replace it.

Iv skimmed the flywheel, changed the spigot bearing, and now im getting the Relese bearing back on the Carrier to fit it all back together.

first of all this is the Correct way for the clip to join the Fork and Release bearing carrier ?

then this is the problem im having, i never took photos of the release bearing before i took it off, i just smacked it off the carrier with a hammer,
Then i pressed the new release bearing onto the carrier with a Vice braced with wood to be safe,

now to me it looks like it should go back further, but there is a shoulder where it sits not allowing it to go any further... dose this look correct?

then when its all put on the spline of the Gearbox and all hooked up to the fork ECT, it wont travel up the spline towards the clutch far before it seems to get stuck

there is a shoulder inside the Carrier (you can see it in the firt picture looking into the Carrier) and its running past the runner on the spline of the Gearbox and it just seems to get stuck on it and needs a bit of a wiggle to get it back on track...

im at a Loss like should the Slave with the Release bearing Travel far along the spline? or would it only be a half inch?

I want to get it right first time and there isnt too many people familar with 6 speed Sr20 Boxes Around me :(

Yeah the clip won't feel 100% secure until the box and everything is back in!

Edit: Sorry yeah looks to be upside down

Need to get this Bearing sorted ASAP as i dont want to Put it back together and find out its wrong, i took this picture just now,

its 30mm from the back of the release bearing to where the Fork sits, i believe this is called the Carrier Legnth?

the bearing itself is about 18mm thick.

dose this sound right as there is a worrying gap behind the Bearing as you can see in the picture but its on a shoulder there so it wont go back any further...

Yes the first picture is the correct way for the sleeve to attach to the fork.

It shouldn't move up too far on the shaft without pulling of the fork when the box is out.....it all closes together when you have the box up and tighten it in.

The release bearing should close right back on the sleeve until they touch

When you have the release bearing and sleeve and fork assembly together make sure push the fork back on to the nipple

Well IMHO it looks like to me that there was some dirt on it and i put in on unevenly and now im afraid to pull it off encase it Damaged the E50 Bearing :O. i took it to my engineering mate and he said oh ill just press it on and it should sit straight and be ok... so after a quick squeeze the Shoulder started to bend back > so now im guessing its Defanatly Screwed and ill need a new Sleeve *FACEPALM

here you can see where the Shoulder is Damaged, i measured to see how ineven it is, here its measuring 59mm

id say this is a fairly persise peice of kit so im guessing a new Relese bearing and Sleve E100+ o well ya got to learn somhow

unless people think this would still work?

Are you sure the sleeve is bent??? And you haven't just pressed the bearing unevenly? Take the bearing off the sleeve, check they are good, clean down the sleeve properly and inner bearing and refit them correctly

Well the Shoulder is defanatly bent now as you can see in the first picture it has pealed back :( and its not sitting even... its 2mm out each side. i know im going to damage the Bearing taking it off but i suppose its worth a shot
