View Full Version : is200/tezza Diff question HELP PLEASE
I've got an is200 with an open diff and I'm looking at buying a trd 1.5 diff.
Will the diff fit straight into my is200 casing and bolt straight on.
I know if I buy an altezza diff with the casing I will need to change the shafts aswell but just wondering could I get around all that hassle by putting the trd diff into my original casing.
i have a full altezza back axel, everything shafts, disks ,calipers. only sold the diff today. might be usefull to you if the trd doesnt fit the is200

Can you pm me and let me know what kinda money your after because be handy to know incase I get it and it doesn't fit
The is200 sport come with a 1.5 diff just find one in a breakers
I can get a TRD one for cheaper than what most lads are looking for the is200 sport ones Deco
Less hassle though :/ time is money

i fitted an altezza diff to a mates is200 a while ago, the cups for the halfshafts fit in either diff, he got altezza shafts with the diff but didnt get bolts with them. so i swapped the cups from his diff and used the is200 half shafts. dont remember if there was any differences between the casings so id say the trd diff will fit in your casing.
if its in an altezza casing already it would be handier though, as it takes 2mins to pop the cups out and swap them over, only downside is the is200 shafts are 4 bolt and altezza are 6 so would be stronger.
standard altezza/is200 diffs are torsen not 1.5 way and arent great, you can still slide with them but they dont lock like a normal clutch type would, like the trd diff.
