re-importation????

im thinking of going to uk to but a car, and found out from the owner that he bought the car in dublin himself 3 years ago,so she was already on an irish reg, and he still has the 94 d reg of the car.

she now has an english m reg, but do i have to re-register the car when i bring it back to ireland dose anyone know????

been ringin revenue and vrt offices half the day with no joy, wasters!

Afaik you won't have to vrt the car again as that has already been done but i think there might be a registration fee to get the car a reg again.

correct, you wont need to pay vrt again!

youll have to pay 50euro and re apply to shannon for the log book ya get all the forms in tax office and have to get a peace commisioner to sign it and get it signed by the guards
