last year i bought a rusty 328i for cheaps just to get me started doin practice days
done the basics
- lowered it
-modified wishbones and hubs
- changed diff ratio 2.9-1 ish to 3,6-1 ish
- gutted it etc
-straight through exhaust
car served me well but thought it was time to upgrade to somthing a bit more solid:) and faster

so after hasseling every one with an m3 drift car on this site to sell it i finally settled on this today
has to be the cleanest m3 / e36 ive ever seen
original irish car
but now im wondering if its to clean to track and would it be a shame to destroy such a clean example

not shure yet when i have my new track car finished i might sell it, break keep it as a spare for the brother to use not shure really
just had a lad try to buy it off me at the petrol pumps and tell me i was a wanker if i turned it into a track car :(

i dont know tbh i havent used one but i have been cought for lock to lock speed on a few occasions, also a couple of lads i was talkin to swear by them

Anyway,
If it's really really good I personally wouldn't drift it.
Look at all the 180s/Skylines etc... drifted/broken in the last few years and how hard it is to find a straight one now.
The E36 are going the same way, A lot being welded up and diffed or turned into drifters/track cars and eventually stripped for parts.
They'll be rare in a few years and a nice M3 will be very hard to find especially an original Irish car.

Well wear Conor. She does look clean. Park it up and borrow the engine for the 328. You could rebuild it and put it back in if they went up in price.
Pesonally if it was me, i woul of used it but if its as mint as you say, do just park it up in a shed and keep it looking mint for a few years, because as the lads have said, there becoming rare for a mint original one

Thats my buddys car! Well was his car!!! Really good car, he payed big money for it few years ago and it got everything it needed. Car was very rearly driven aswell and got no abuse!! You got a gem of a bm dude best of luck with it weather you decide to track it or daily it.

well it all depends, lads in finland tend to by them for either parts or track so buying cheap rusty ones could sell to them for the same as a mint one here. but heres what i found out, well taxed and registered around 10k€
but taxes are like 3-4k€ plus import duties
so to be sensible the bmw isn´t allowed to cost more than 4k€ in ireland to make any profit on it. and there words from a lad in finland himself.
are they even selling or worth 4k over here?

according two the last 3 nct sheets he was only doin about 2k a year in it
Sounds about right!! He has a company van and just got a notion to buy the beemer but never really used it in the end. Really good car strong engine aswell pulls well.

I bought an m3 that is an absolute peach,full sevice history from the day it left the dealers..most geinuine cleanest car ive owned..thought about what it will be worth in the future many times an tryed to find a rough one for drifting before i bought it.so there'd be no guilt or regrets..but on the good side you'll have a good solid well maintained car to start with

definitely drift it, i love them, so simple to turn into a drift car, so little maintenance and a reshell is cheap as chips, pick up a 316 shell and a lil modification and there u go

got a cage done by liam crowley on here, gifted fabricator, quick turn around and cheap as chips, anyways im as happy as with it, and would recommend him to anyone
bought 17 x 8.5 et13 contours for it
fk coilovers
4.1 cwp
kitted it out with some seats and harnesses that i had from my last car
extra lock sorted with modded hubs, lock washers and e46 lower arms
still a few jobs to go
wire the electric fan
anchor the harnesses
fit the 4.1 cwp
track it etc
and give it its first day out in tynagh on the 16th

yeah just practice days for now i had a 328i before this but this is the next step now, i hardly get time to use it as i work in the uk
aweful hard to find an m3 now in any condition good or bad
stop i looked at a "mint" estoril blue one last year in cork, i wanted to crash it on the test drive an do yer man i favour.
yeah this one i have now is an original irish car and you can see the difference in it compared to the uk imports that i have seen
the 328i i have is a uk import its so rotten i dont know how the floor hasnt fallen out of it yet
