What cams to use ? Advice/ ideas

Im looking to build up my blacktop vvt sr engine for the sr86.
I will probably delete the vvt so im after advice on cams. Preferably first hand experience on what to use ?!.
I want to build a nice spec engine that will run 300-320 ish with reliability but with scope to going a little further if needed in future.
Im going to have head off for steel gasket anyway and will be getting car mapped aswell so what im thinkin is why not throw them in now.

Ive herd a few sr"s using tomie cams? Are cams that expensive for them too

Good stuff. Ya read about tomei, seem to be a very expensive cam. Im thinking along the lines of brian crower 264's. theyre a stage 2.
Would be open to any though. Wouldnt say no to a good second hand set either

im running a set of 272s bc cams in my sr22 there suppost to be agressive but drivable but you will need a bit of head work? buy from america there very resonable in price?

Ya i remember hearing they were a nice upgrage to a blacktop. More aggressive ? Theyd be a lot handier on the pocket :)

Cheers gem. With red top pulleys or adjustables ? is there much more to be got from them with adjustable pulley ?
Surely plenty of them around in wrecked engines anyway ! Il be watching out for a set.
