it was going grand then out of no where the power just went untill 5000rpm really sluggish in every gear its an mx5 few people mentioned the coils go in them would this be it are could it be something else ?

surely it wouldn't matter to you what rpm vtec came in if your driving an mx-5??? FAIL :D

I had a similar problem in a MK2 mx5, It ended up being the ECU located in the passenger footwell was full of water and connection's were rusted.

Was this about a problem in the CRX or the MX-5? Peter's joke hardly needed a retort to say vtec only comes in at 5300/5500 when the mazdas system is totally different and doesn't have vtec at all :rolleyes:
