Ok so always took it as gospel that once there are splitfires there wouldn't be coil pack issues (RB at least) .

Has anyone had bad experiences with packed up coil packs?

I had them on my SR (Used set), first drift day one of the coilpacks gave up so I swap them for standard ones.

Haven't had a problem since. Robbie in TDP told me the SR ones are unreliable.

Not going off topic but do splitfires give any kind of gain over standerd coilpacks?

I replaced mine with a used standerd set 2 years ago and they are on the way out now again, going to look into getting new genuine set off nissan if possibe but ill have the vasaline ready, or a new set of splitfires, would it be reasonable to say you would get upto say over 5 years worth out of them from new?

unless your planning big horseys your best bet is genuine nissans they will definatly outlive the splitfires

Stock coil packs will do over 600bhp no problem. the mg rb25 car stock nissan packs and so does paul murphys
