overcharging alternator advice on a 180sx

Hi all

Need advice on causes of an overcharging alternator car has been fine all along went for a spin today and the battery light came on when I checked the voltage reading on the power fc hand commander it was reading up to 16v.

might be the regulator in the alternator causing to over charge... feck in a 2nd hand alternator and see.... or pull out your old on give it to me and i'll get it checked for ya
