I've tried searching but can't find anything. i'm looking at an s14 this week hopefully. i don't know anything about them tbh, i've only owned an ae86 and smaller stuff, never anything turbo. is there any specific things to look out for? thanks.

is it a jap? if it's uk I wouldnt really be bothered looking at it unless the price was right, in that case look for rust!

i'm not so much worried about the body just things that go wrong with the engine.

you can see the front 2 chassis points infront of the rear wheels, check for rust there and the back 2 from the back. just general rust around chassis areas

Notchy gearbox, whines, rattles etc hold up engine rev listen for any rattles. Compression test if possible. Turbo gaskets blowing. Make sure it pulls well, no flat spots or misfire.

That's at the back, jus beside the jacking point, ya can see feck all der man, the rust usually is higher than that point, but that is a main place they rust!

If its SR20det, listen out for vvt rattle form startup.
Also listen for bottom end, excessive vibration etc.
