Well been meaning to fire this up here with along time, but only finally getting down to it now really :o

Car when I got it:

Bought this S14a at the start of this year NA (sr20de), with big intentions of getting it Turbo within weeks of that time, but that did not go exactly to plan unfortunately, and now the plan is to have it finished by the time the 2013 IDC starts :)

First thing I did to the car was jack her up and drop the rear subframe and see what I was dealing with.

While this was dropped I picked up a 2 way off of Bart on here, tried fitting this to discover that my subframe and diff were entirely different. So again thanks to Bart who sorted me out with a rear subframe to fit the 2-way into.

While on the ground I fitted a 5 stud conversion that I picked up from another member on here, Ian G's brother, another sound man.

Then as I was putting the subframe back up I fired on locking collars that I had off my old ps13 to try tighten things up a bit.

After putting all this back together it got parked up for a few months to let funds build up a bit and to pick up few bits along the way such as wheels, vented wings, front bumper etc etc etc.

Then about 6 weeks ago now I decided I was sick of seeing it parked up so arranged a transporter and shipped it over to Mike Deane to do the engine conversion he sought out for me back in May.
So off it went looking like this:

Before the new engine went in, it got a full check up and clean down, new turbo gaskets, as well as a Cosworth head gasket that I picked up from Barry Motorsport. While fitting the engine, Mike also fitted bigger front brakes and pads, front tension rods, front mount incooler, exhaust system, walbro fuel pump, battery etc.

So I got the car back during the week looking like this  :

Drove the car yesterday and I am not near happy with it.

Handling is a death trap so im ripping the whole subframe today, gonna check everything as much as I can.

Good clean down with a wire brush for the whole lot and under sealer for the body.

May as well give the subframe and calipers a lick of paint too when it will all be on the ground yet again.

Anyone recommend a place to get paint for this?

And would I be as well off priming before paint?

Thinking a bright orange for the subframe and calipers, and black for the prop, diff, and suspension arms :)

Oh ya them shocks and springs are being fired out too so does anyone have coilovers for me?

Different diff and subframe in the NA's as far as I can see Darren.

And with this Subframe id pick up a diff easier if I ever needed one again.

Ah she's rough atm but with bita time and money she'll come around :)

Plus now that im on a two day week :( it at least gives me time to clean it up

Non turbos have a much smaller diff, subframe needs to be changed to take the turbo diffs.

Remember going to look at this an hour after it went up on donedeal

Ya il be the first one to admit she's no great yoke but with time I'm hoping to make a good car out of it.

It's a kouki spoiler, not 100% on the kit tbh.

Ur man who sold it to me was a strange fella alrite so copy and pasting it doesn't sound very surprising, I'm only happy I got the tax book back :)
