have the engine out being built at the min, planning on moving the battery to the boot and removng any unnecessary holes, bracket ancillaries etc!...

the dilemma...do i paint the bay a mad accent colour ie candy pink or similar or just keep the lp2,or keep lp2 and add a metal flake?...ideas suggestions welcome!

Nothing mad... nice and simple . Cover all holes up . move anything that can be moved out of there. keep the lp2

Will Ya tub the front arches while your at it? Might need it in the future might aswell get it done now as its not alot of extra work as there will be a few holes to weld in the standerd tubs anyway? You can buy car trailer tubs off e bay, Cut in half weld them up and presto.

Keep lp2 and polish the rocker cover and eeverythin else, and hide as much wiring as possible. Its a classy looking car no need to go lary in the engine bay.

I'd say keep it the standard colour and smooth it. Depends how mad you want to go though and is it for show too, if youve the engine out I'm sure you clean it up a bit.
But once you start smoothing it's hard to know when to stop.

This is nice and looks clean but took a lot of relocation:

Ah i suppose Ya might never need it it would give you more clearance for wider wheels i had to beat mine in a bit to make room for lock on the new wheels, ill be doing it down the road, should need it for extra lock but Im not sure on the latter. If i was going through the hassle of painting and cleaning it up id do it. Look up DOD on here his ps13, he just bought his tub off the bay i believe Cut and welded it up and it looks awsome. Will pay if you ever need it in future

since the car is very subtle and clean looking putting a pink or other wild colour in the engine bay will make it look tacky imo.
pearl grey imo would be the perfect colour for any clean engine bay. have the bay smooth and grey pearl with then engine block silver and the rocker cover lp2 with polished IC pipes etc will make it look so much better.
this is petries s13 not in pearl but it draws more attention to the engine and parts inside the bay a good bit better

LP2 as a coloure, Tubed arches look shit as in above picture !! We'll do something with wiring and relocate few bits and remove few other unwanted bits :) my opinion dude, don't go all show car it's not everyone's taste, and sure it's your daily, so no point !!

Just seriously clean and tidy with lp2 and a polished rocker. Im a bit of a fan of the hot pink but its nice in small doses like on your rocker at present.

Think it'll be going lp2 so...can't be arsed tubing the arches.....when i say road car,i should really say garage car, this wont be my daily in the sense that i will be all over the country with it,i'll have the use of other cars most of the time.it will be a road car in the sense that it won't be getting hurtled round mondello or likewise...car probably will be doing very little mileage.i just want to finish it to a high standard....engine bay is currently a dull black colour fyi
