was just chattin another few ones that are takin a trip up for the first time and would it not be possible to have full day open pit without the competiioni.e a full practice day as it kind of uses a few hours doing the competition where alot might just want the track time? just a suggestion

aka pete
30-10-12, 08:56
Fair suggestion jonny but theres loadsa track time either side of the competition
and it doesn't take long for the comp anyway..
it's a bitta craic too and breaks up the day

I would b up for open pit all day more track time for everyone plus my aul derv isn't really that competitive

aka pete
30-10-12, 18:09
haha pete were just greedy lol

ha! no harm in that jonny lol.. we're all after value for money

but seriously, the last time i was down, there was no comp and i spent hours and hours on the track - ended up havin to go to ballymoney for more petrol in the afternoon and finally got bored at about 4 and fecked off home, if the lads bring enough tyres and petrol/derv lol.. they'll not complain about track time, competition or not

We are always open to suggestion
but I would agree with Pete
it can be quite a long day with no competition,
just as a proposal if we had the competiton 11am to 1pm
and open pit from 2pm to 5pm?
I dont mind whatever suit you guys best,
I'm open to any other ideas.

Another suggestion any chance of changing direction for a few run? I know this causes other problems with the corner at the pit but can we not try something?

We have tried this before and the Drivers in general
seem to prefer the Clockwise Track especially the bottom corner
But no reason not to try an hour or so
of Anti Clockwise and ask all the Drivers what they think?

At one stage we had thought of running
the competition the oppsite way but the entry speeds
were very slow compared to the existing way.

Any other ideas will definatly be considered !!

what bout it being opened fully straight from the bales to the bottom corner for some hi speed entry practice?

Yes Jonny, I think we could run this for a half hour or so
if there is enough interest but only for cars with full cages
and 4 point harnesses as the entry speeds would be massive.
