well the white s14a went to germany on sunday, deafening the poor german lad who had to drive it 1500km back to germany

i had a deposit down on this car for about 2 weeks, and thankfully the deal on the s14a went smoothly, bought it off lorcan at drift2 motorsport, which was only 20 mins down the road from me. the spec list is damn good, the car is seriously quick, pulls like a train, and 2 way is super tight! spec still a bit of a mystery as i am still finding new things and trying to figure out what somethings actually do

the front bumper is horrible imo, it looks like a smiley face, but that will all be changed fairly quickly

To be honest man I don't know much more than that. He had it for over 4 years I'd say. Was used as a weekend car for the last 3 At least didn't see it around much. Never seen him abuse it I'd say it was never sideways always liked the car best of luck with it. Wheels will do so much for that car.

havent even tried em on yet, fitment allright or do you need more than a roll.?

good news of the front as i was most worried about that .

hmm on the rear i had 9.5 +12s on mine , seemed a bit of camber and a roll would do , had 10j +12 had a little bit of rubbing too , but only a tiny bit. must get some interest back in my own and get it going again,

lil update

changed the spark plugs for NGK iridium bkr8eix

polished up the outside of the headlights, used 3 diffrent stages, look 90% better but still need to be split and polished up on the inside and the inside needs to be painted black

the pic looks shite though because they got covered in rain and fogged up :/

no , the silver headlights were a factory option for both N/A and Turbo s15's , so basically you had the choice between black or silver and then if you wanted them hid or non hid! obviously everyone chose black ones cos they look the best :cool:

really? the car will be putting out about 350bhp when i remap it , thought the 8's would be ok as i was told they would be, what would the disadvantage be to using 8's on a road car??

i didnt dude as i didnt have any lying around!

got me some mobil 1 15w50 , a HKS oil filter (supposedly has a magnet or some shit in it also, hopefully it filters oil :p ) , a z32 fuel filter and a driftworks magnetic sump plug

well thought id got an aero bumper sorted, but the lad got confused and it was a fuckin c-west front bumper, heart broken to say the least :'(

bought a standard front bumper with a DC2 lip off the lovely grange off here

hahaha actually was ment to pull and roll arches friday but we all went out thursday night and got hammered, and all were violently ill on friday. was ment to do it tonight but alan decided he wanted to go on the beer haha so i dunno, maybe tuesday or wednesday at this stage :/ car cant be lowered till the arches are done as it physically couldnt move if i lowered it

however i have learned new stuff about the car

injectors are tomie 740cc

had a chat on the phone with the old owner of the car (who sold it to lorcan)

he was the 1st owner of it and martin ffrench imported it in. martin french did all the work on it. nearly all the engine parts were bought brand new. he said he still has the dyno print out for the car, apparrently it had 380bhp at 1.2 bar. the map was tweeked to get it through the nct and then remapped again , gonna get a guy i know ,aengus (works for couture) to check the map

If they are 740cc, I had a set and was told the spray pattern of them aren't up to par for the sr20, think they tend to drip or something along them lines..... 550's solve this problem with a much finer pattern and an adj fuel reg @3bar. So unless ye want droopy squirters swap em, it's not the porno bis so bigger isn't always better.

not at the mo , i still only have one of them done haha!! that one arch pulled out a load though, like an inch or something. did it with an arch roller and looooads of heat and took my time so there was no paint cracked.

ill get the other one done in the next week as ill have a load of free time then and ill do some good before and after shots! :)

so minor update, thinking about a change of styling , due to haveing to buy a D-max bonnet. it wont suit the standard kit and the price of painting all the stuff might be too much :/ and also im planning on selling this already as its too expensive for me to run (student making fuck all) which pisses me off as i love it . i need a lower powered sr20det that doesnt cost me as much for a spin into town lol

thinking of keeping the skirts and rear bumper on it , while adding a vertex front bumper with the dmax bonnet and rear spoiler.

dunno if the vertex front bumper will work with the skirts, but we will see. id say canards would pull it off

still though , im really liking the origin racing line kit, especially the front bumper, wonder those mark gaffney have any broken ones lying around haha (think he bought up the whole irish supply of them )

oh yeah also, metal posish is great stuff! ran out of things i could do on the car due to rain so polished up the intercooler haha, came out with a mirror finish (on the spots i bothered to do :P)

i read morrison said his s15 was a way stiffer chassis than the 14 with a cage in it! but under the wings and everything are alot more braced that s14's etc.

to be honest dude the custom seat rails sit EXACTLY the same height as my recaro on a bride rail did in my white s14, so pretty high for the tall driver (im 6'4) get a bride super low rail if ya can

you might find your knees hitting the steering wheel if its standard, i had an aftermarket one and a spacer to combat that, also you might have problems with your knee hitting off the wipers stalk when they are on full blast haha

Got a Recaro a couple of weeks ago myself and tis on some sort of modified rail and I've the same problems with my knees and the steering wheel cause of the 6'3 length of me. I've gotten used to it now though. Don't think i'll be chancing too much sliding in it though cause I could easily hop my hand off my knee and lose it in a ditch ha

haha ill give ya an update so! bonnets prepped, rear bumper is nearly finished prep(light skim of filler), spats are prepped, just gotta finish off front bumper, skirts and spoiler, normally this would take the guts of half a day to finish, but im not home much at the moment due to the amount of college and work i am doing (college is very hectic the next 2 weeks. this week, monday presentation,tuesday exam and 4000 word literature review due. thursday assignment due and also have exam worth 30% to do, friday hangover lol) .

hoping to get the stuff in for paint this friday. gonna pop out to the shed to finish off the rear bumper after top gear.

i might have everything back next monday, then i just gotta find the time to fit it haha! cant feckin wait to drive it again :cool:
