whaddup! i'm PJ Prendergast, i'm 19 years old and i'm from Albany, New York, just a few hours north of NYC. so i'll explain why i'm here; basically, i have a ton of family in terranure (spelling?) in dublin, and some friends in cellebridge i've made in all my visits over there. the reason i'm on here is because i may be studying abroad over in dublin somewhere for my spring semester, and if i'm gonna be away from my s13 for about 5 months i'm gonna need a car fix!

i got my first car when i was 15, a 1993 mitsubishi GTO TT (known as a 3000gt vr4 here). my dad and i spent about 2 and a half years restoring it from the ground up. stripped it all the way down leaving just the front seats and dash pad in the shell and rebuilt nearly everything. i didn't know much about jap cars, and this was a huge introduction to the whole scene for me. i started attending local drifting events (watching from the side lines wishing i was out there). well finally this year, at age 19 i got my first 240: a 1991 hatch with an sr20. big list of parts came on it. i got it from some dude down in queens who had the car built with the intentions of bringing it to road course events but just never had the time for the car. so i got a fully built 240 for a steal, and now my goal is to drift it as much and as hard as i can until i can get myself an r32 GTS-T. (as some of you may know, most skylines are illegal here unless it's the r33 made in 1996 between certain months. this is so because it was the only one crash tested and other lame stuff like that). BUT i'm waiting until the 1989 r32 hits 25 years old which is perfectly legal for importation. anyways here's the cars and some pics and whatnot

ah that's cool! i found a really cool psychology program at trinity but idk if i'll get in. my friends dad is a professor at the college in maynooth so maybe i'll end up there, idk yet still looking at programs. (also, i went to mantra this summer when i was there haha nice club!) it's also a really tough decision for me to make to, i literally won't be able to go home and see my family, friends or cars for like 5 months. which is why i made an account on here so i could try to know some people who could take me for rides or bring me to events or something :D

do you know the guy that owns this? he's in cellebridge

thanks dude! if i make it over i can't live outside the car scene for 5 months, i wouldn't make it haha and yeah what happened was i had those wheels on my vr4 but they poked alot, so i threw em on the 240 and ended up trading them for the rpf1's which i wish i kept. but i've always loved the battles, so i'll get spacers for up front and it'll look dope when it's slammed all the way.

thanks! i hope i make it over, would be a killer experience. i love ireland. and yeah i ran in to so many fitment issues, and at the time i would have needed serious work to fir the 18x12's out back, plus my rear control arms were seriously close to hitting the body and i definitely wasn't about to chop it up. my dream is to make a 3/s drift car someday. in fact, there's a thread on 3si.org that some guy is making an rwd setup for these cars. it won't be done for a while but when it is i'm making a vr4/gto tt drift slut :D

Welcome dude, I live in Celbridge havnt seen that golf tho. Your surname sounds familiar.

what kind of car do you drive? i was in celbridge for a week in july this summer. saw a bunch of ae86's and a few r33's.

and it's not definite that i'll be over for the entire spring semester. it's hard trying to find a good psychology program that'll accept me. i wanna study abroad before i get old and wanna finish out my college years with a job and apartment and whatnot. ideally if i could, i'd do anything to borrow a shell from someone and put money into it so i could say i had a drift car and participated in events while i was over. now that'd be dope! whoever lets me borrow a shell they can keep whatever parts i put into it :p

i was actually in kilcock this summer haha my friends dad took me to the junkyard there, i was looking for 180sx stuff haha they didn't have any of course, i saw a few skylines in there though which was quite sad. and that'd be sick (if i get accepted into the program of course) to have a car to slide in over there! my application is due on october 15th and then i just gotta wait and see if i got accepted into maynooth or not. but if i do i'm so taking up your offer haha i'll make that bastard scrape all over the countryside :afro:
