View Full Version : Go Karting League 2012
Right lads
Ive had this in the pipeline for a few months, and have been in talks with Colm in the Kart Center to run this, we have done it before, but this time will be bigger and better than ever.
The venue will be the National Karting Center in Corbally in Limerick, this place is mental lads, the whole place has just got a complete overhaul, and the track is now nearly 1.1km long, the biggest indoor track in Europe.
The track also runs underneath the reception area through 2 tunnels.
I promise you a cracking couple of nights if you sign up for this.
It will be starting on October 15th, and will be on for 5 Monday Nights,there after. It will kick off around Half 7.
For those that have done this before, i can also promise you it will be run off alot quicker on the night, as the lads now have the capabilities to run 15-25 Karts at once.
The price will be 70 euros and that covers the full 5 weeks. Thats only 14 euros per night.
And also on the final night, every person will get a shot of the National Karting Centers Famous Drift Karting,for free on that night aswell as your normal race.
So get the names down lads as this promises to be a cracking number of weeks.
The sites involved if they get enough names to take part will be:

- Honda Haven
- TOC
- Streetlegal
- ADC
We need 10 names per site to start, that might increase to 15 depending on the interest.

Did this before when it was in Roscrea, great craic and a lot of excellent drivers!

Was talking to Colm about this last week when I was there, they were just laying out the new track, it's going to be some job when it's finished, will be nice to have a good few karts out the same time too and with the track being so big it won't be over crowded, I did it in the old track too, was some craic, pity it isn't on Tuesday's as that's my day off but if I can get Monday evenings off il definatly be up for it, put me down for it for now as I should hopefully get off work but if I can't il let you know

Ari lads. Im the head of the DCU karting society and a few of the members would be interested in doing this. Is there a limit to numbers? We have around 400 members but the two pro team drivers would be interested. Thats around 14 people. Is there anything against our drivers competing? cheers lads

id say a mate of mine might make it too , wouldnt be on any sites though.
This will no longer be a site vs site thing, just individuals, so if ye have a mate or two who want to come , bring them on, plenty of crack, and there will be some savage grub there on the first night.

Right just to let ye know if ye are doing this or are thinking of doing it, i was out at the new track last night, its almost finished and all i can say is "Fucking WOW" it is class, the lads have really outdone themselves, this will be like no other karting experience you have ever had, i promise you that.
So if you are still on the fence about doing this, do it, you will not be dissapointed.

serious layout in der,good craic fair play for organizin
another great night with some driving skills , leader board changed few times! fella in go kart no 9 in second run got soooome skills :) fair play for go kart draw . on my go kart acceleration pedal stuck in floor so constantly had full power and sometimes was veryyy challenging and unpredictable but cant complain cose
was on first place for best lap for while:) roll on next run!
Great craic last night much more laid back and went great the random karts made it too..
Was going great last night til Darren Mc came along and ruined it for everyone!!:p

Fair play to scamper , great final night last night , and for colm and the lads for running a savage 5 nights . the super lap was fair nerve racking .
sound for letting us out for more drift karting late last night, drift trains were some crack .
hopefully scamp can get something going again soon :cool:
