Lads have the turbo and non-turbo SR's have different internal's?

Can i just bolt on all the turbo parts / wiring onto a SR20DE engine?

Thanks in advance

the de will have higher compression ratio and prob diff pistons and rods, ive not taken one apart so only assuming becuase of the different loads put on each engine

the blocks are the same afaik though

different block inside and the rods are way smaller and different pistons!!! smaller valves in the head!! it would blow in no time!!

As said the internals are different,There is also no take offs on the DE block for the oil and coolant lines to the turbo.

on sr20de:
high comp pistons
no turbo oil/water feed
no oil squirters to the bottom of the piston (for cooling them)
different injectors
I presume valvetrain is different (esp. cams)
clutch/flywheel are smaller

plus some extra bits needed:
CAS
turbo AFM
ignition amplifier (ignitor chip/module)
loom
prob. downpipe/elbow

etc.;)

is their a difference in the s15 spec s gearbox and s14 sr20 det gearbox?????

I think all s15 boxes are 6speed so theres an extra gear in there compaired to the 14's

I'm fairly certain the Spec S diff & box are the same as the S14a but as far as I know the clutch and flywheel are different

do spec s's have a viscous diff?

Yup, only the R's (& Autech versions) have helical ones....

It'd surprise you ;) If I was any good at drifting I would prove it but I can't drift to save my life :( A lot of fun around mondello all the same though.....

Meego; There's a few threads on S15OC of det'd spec S's, I'm sure you'll find one using the standard box / diff...

edit:

best I could find is Auto spec S to manual DET - none of the others had decent write ups or the links to pictures were no longer valid....
