hello to everyone on DI i joined the site back in april for the craic and banter and in the hope to buy a rwd s13 if possible:p so i said id put a car to the name.. a couple of weeks ago i picked this up in cork and im sure a few of ye on here might know it.. it will keep me happy for a few months anyway;)

ya it was owned by alan opel in galway i remembr seeing a thread of it when he had it :P its a nice car alright, i got sorted with them bumper lights too lad i had ones that were broken so i cut up other lights and did abit of glueing and made my own set:) happy enough with the outcome

shes fxcked now the engine is knocking. its cleaned up alot since it was sprayed. ill park it up till i raise funds and decided what engine ill put into it

that would not suprise me one bit...lads think dey can drive d shit out of dem every day and have no worries..were are u from?sr20 is the way forward man

ya by the looks of her it looks like it was just ragged to fuck so no wonder its fucked. im from clonakilty lad ya thinking sr20 or a rb i duno yet it will depend on funds. it will probly be next summer before abit goes back into it

id go with sr as its an easier conversion and alot of parts are easily available..altho u cant beat the sound of an rb:)

i prob have a good crank there if u wanted to do that if not if u change engine, pull the pistons out of it, there worth a few quid in england!

i tink i gave shane an aftermarket manafold for that car???

has she ca16 cams in her to and a bit of head work done, porting etc..???

The head was rebuilt anyway with n/a cams, think there the same as 1.6 ones, new oil pump an steel head gasket

it was solt to me with this engine inside in it so as alan said it was suppose to have abit of work done to it. the crank was also reground and over sized bearing were supposed to be put into it. the crank is nomore good i suppose when it was reground.

well it was reground a good while before i got that crank, and its got alot of abuse since i had it haha so id say it lasted well haha

id say its after alot of years of hard driving haha:) ill see what comes up along the line. i might put a sr or a rb into it if funds will allow me in time

i rember going for a spin in this, bottom end started knocking and we pulled over and diped it for oil and not a drop! went and bought oil came back and it was back up to the full line on the dipstick after? seriously cool car tho love it!
