View Full Version : E30Chick 325 (ish!)
Hi all
The car is a Japanese import and this is what it looked like when it came into the country:
http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb50/mrscrilly/BMW/e30whenitcametoIreland.jpg
She was a 320i automatic but she had a manual 325i conversion done by the previous owner.
The colour is diamond schwartz, it has original BBS RS's 003, Vmaxx coilovers, drift gauges and M3 clocks inside. As the car is a jap import it has air con but the previous owner took this out but I am looking to get it put back into the car.
Here are some recent pics of it.

I was admiring this at driftest in tynagh the last day .. she's so clean and love the bbs's on it! here's a quick picture i got off it at tynagh :) http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g431/conorR69/Driftfest%201st%20july/108.jpg
I always had a soft spot for E30's, even if it was 316!!! Cool retro styling , it has that style that won't age!:D,
Thanks lads, she can be a bit tempermental at times!!
I have had a few mechanical ups and downs with it since I got it, fan belts snapping, alternator, clutch slave cylinder etc and oil leaks but nothing major thankfully.
I would love to invest in a full respray but the funds won't allow it at present, have noticed two patches of rust appearing in the rear arches so I will beg steal and borrow to get that fixed asap.

that is class,:)
I saw this in the flesh, it's well kept, a lovely example...
Lovely looking E30. I was admiring it in traffic on the N11 outside Bray one sunny evening a couple of Fridays ago.
If i was in traffic i was probably singing my head off making a show of myself.
I couldn't hear you over my own singing. At least you weren't picking your nose like everybody else does in traffic. :)
loving this e30. vert well kept looking at the pics. keep it up.

If you missed it before the weekend, I hope you didn't go to AIT yesterday for your own sake :D
Yes might not have been the best place to be at the weekend! Lovely to meet you Dave! I will speak to my mechanical advisor about my power issues har har!

Collected the car from Valdas at Motor Confidence today and he replaced the following for me:
gearbox seals
diff right hand side seal
breather tube o rings
oil cooler o ring
speed sensor
speed sensor o ring
gear linkage joint
gear box oil
power steering hose
handbreak light fixed
heater motor fuse
engine and gearbox washed to clean up oil from leaks
The difference in the gear change is amazing now its tight as fuck :D
Very impressed with Valdas work and attention to detail will defo be back again.
Savage car:cool:
Kudos for genuine RS wheels ;)
Kudos for genuine RS wheels ;)
I would love to take the credit for them but they were on the car when i bought them.
I didn't realise the importance of their fitment size until one one vag head nearly ejaculated over them at a car show and offered to buy them off me there and then.
Making plans to get the car back on the road for May, have a wedding on the 18th and her presence is required
My list of things to get done so far are:
Nct
Tax
Wheel refurb
Full detail
Oil change
Fuel pump replacement
2 new window switches
2 new rear tyres
Front bumper lip / valance whatever you call it needs to be sprayed badly stone chips and paint is flaking
Fix fog lights, the rubber casing around it is not secure letting in water so the bulbs keep blowing
Try and sort out the fuel gauge to get it working
Heater matrix (i think that's what it is!) needs to be replaced but since she will be off the road for the winter again I might just leave this.
So that will keep himself busy for a while :D
getting him to work on his own car is hard enough let alone yours too!! haha

Very clean car, I like it a lot :) I personally have white/clear indicator glass on the front bumper, I think it would suit ur car :) Any BMW meets coming up in near future? would love to go

I do have clear indicators for the bumpers and side panels at home some where but i decided to leave as is as i thought it was a nice contrast with the black.
Plus nearly everybody has the clear ones so nice to be a little different.
Yeah there do be meets on you would need to check out bmw-driver.net they should start picking up now that the evenings will be getting longer and weather hopefully better!
Oil and coolant change today, getting 6 months tax next week and nct the following week :)

Nice unit! Ever consider using a jamming device in your car? GPS jammer is a widely used gadget today by those who don’t want someone else to track their position wherever they go. Do you have the same concerns? It is easy to prove whether you are being tracked and prevent the situation simply with a jammerfromchina (http://www.jammerfromchina.com/) GPS jammer to disable all the gps enable tracking gadgets.
