Just thought it was about time to start a project thread on my jammer as she's starting to come along nicely now..

I've got the R32 GTR I've been dreaming about since the day I really gained my interest in proper* cars.. In fact, this exact GTR is the car that influenced me from the kitted up Civics, Levins etc and see the light..

It's my daily driver/combined track car so while I do have plans I've to keep her relatively reliable & drivable at the same time :wink: It's taxed & was just NCT'd so everything is in order for the time being!

I also have a water/methanol injection kit which is due to be installed/mapped together. This should be done over the coming weeks.

Plans over the coming future is to upgrade the brakes with either R34 Brembos or else a larger 8 pot kit (undecided on brand yet), I'll be upgrading the turbos , injectors & AFM's to up the power a bit.
I'll have her at ~600hp & ~540ft-lb by October - Well, that's my goal anyway..

We've had our fair share of trouble already but sure that's to be expected with a 22 year old high performance beast... It's a constant work in progress but certainly worth it!

Yeah I was dying to change the R34 GTR wheels for these/similar, not sure why I just never really clicked with the R34 wheels :huh:... I am delighted with the results!

Possibly, I'll have a think about it and let you know - I was gonna keep them for track/Winter wheels but if someone has a 34 and wants to go for that look then I'd prefer to see them used rather then wasted in my garden :wink:

Cool man will do , happy now you got them ultralites instead of me, was hounding james from when they went up, i was gonna ruin em and spray em black. Definetly better contrast on your car with the black. PM coming re possible new wheels for my 34:)

When I seen them come up at that price I just couldn't resist haha.

Yeah, live in Templeogue ;-) I had a red 14a before this but a horrible Legacy B4 in between the two so there would of been a gap.

Yep, the better half lives along the Ballycullen road so the car is around Firhouse just as much, if not more then it is in Templeogue :wink:

Unfortunately while driving down an 'on' ramp onto the M50 one of the Alcon calipers decided it wasn't happy on the disk so it broke off and lodged itself into my wheel :mad:
I was driving at ~35mph but the instant stop was very violent and I can only imagine how harsh it was on my front diff as the car literally went up on its front two wheels!

I got it lifted home and was too pissed off to diagnose the cause but ill tackle it tomorrow and will update accordingly ;)

Thanks for the well wishes lads! Thankfully it wasn't as significant as I initially expected :)

Just a quick update..

The brakes are fully sorted! There is now no shudder, no knocking, nothing... They feel perfect and they have better stopping power then you could ever want for!

Basically the bolts that were holding on the calliper were WWAAYYY too short for the application! The two bolts holding on the drivers calliper were wrung out and slipped through... As you can see, there was ~3mm of thread (approx 3 full turns) holding the callipers on!

This was the same on both sides!
I happened to have 4 bolts at home that were significantly longer then the ones initially used so we replaced the old bolts and now it feels absolutely perfect!!
