changed the coilpacks,changed the ignitor checked the fuel pump and earths!!

Any ideas???

breaking down as in? engine stalls? car wont go forward or what?

What boost are you running, what spark pugs are you using + what are they gapped to ?

Did ya check ALL boost pipes eoin?

Check intercooler pipes, vacume lines, and assuming boost is normal and everything else you've said is fine then possibly the afm on its way out..

as per nissandoctor above,also in relation to cooldrft above last rb i worked on had similarish symptoms turned out the spark plug gaps were too large brought them down quite small about .8mm i think cured the problem,that car was boosting approx 11psi iirc

Did you change coilpacks for 2nd hand standard 1s? My 33 was doing the very same and i put 2nd hand standard 1s in and it didnt cure it. Bought new uprated 1s then and havnt looked back since. Denso plugs will cause it 2 because there a balls of a plug.

very good point there forgot to say try use ngk copper cored plugs!
