Finally I own an s body! My new 180.

Something ive always wanted but never had the money for a nice one was a 180sx.

Well, the day has come so here's a few pictures.. :D

Got these bad boys ordered from the shtates, should improve the rear end alot!!

Future plans include a shotgun exhaust, nice roof spoiler, front wheels to suit rears, possibly a dash dodger cage, raybrig headlights, lazy eye kit and once its nct'd i'll be lowering it alot more.

It's a road car for weekends, not a drift car so no serious spec but anything it currently has is listed as follows as far as i've spotted so far..

HKS intake
3" exhaust
Late s14, maybe s15 roller bearing turbo, not 100% sure which but ive been told it's one or the other
Trust Front mounted intercooler

Tein Coilovers
Tein tie rod ends
Tein track rod ends
Cusco strut braces back and front
Grooved discs all round

Boost gauge
Fly off handbrake
Double din stereo

Wider fibreglass quarters ~ 30/40mm fitted and flushed
Vented fibreglass wings
Car repainted metallic grey
18" Rota gtr wheels painted dw orange

If anyone has any info or old pics of this car id like to see them, it was white originally and was red/pink at another stage of its life.

you bought this off a very good mate of mine, stephen, whos in oz now

i know a good lot about it and have plenty of pics of this and my own 180

stephen and my other mate podge built it. he bought it when it was pink off yet another very good mate of mine marty coyle, and completely tore apart the car, painted the whole thing and bolted it all back together upgrading everything

the thing is pretty much flawless

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, really happy with the car, it's a dream to drive, really smooth and comfortable on the road, handles great boosts strong, brakes fast and is aesthetically flawless. It's probably the first truly nice, driveable car ive owned.

Since i bought it ive noticed a few bits that need doing.. seatbelts, exhaust hanger, release bearing, a handbrake cable and a side repeater but everything else is spot on..

@Dori88 its great to hear stuff like that, if you've a few extra pics handy id love to see them, have you any idea if the engine is original or rebuilt?

@dori_rory those pics are just what i need as i was thinking of painting the wheels that colour.. not sure i will now as it looked a bit boring me thinks..

Oh and if anyone knows the paint code of the grey on the body please let me know as i'll need it at some stage i'm sure..

Brought the car to the test and failed on a few small bits so said I'd get it all checked over and everything done that needs doing, including a full service and fluid change just to be safe.

Bought a pair of work eurolines 18x10j to fit the front but my wings ain't wide enough at the moment unfortunately so they'll be going on the back and the concave Rotas on the front..

All work is beind carried out by Colm Murray so ive peace of mind it's being we'll looked after.

As well as the service and wheels/tyres the clutch is being upgraded to an exedy, getting iridium power spark plugs, the dump valve and silly vacuum pipes removed, exhaust gaskets being replaced, and more I can't evn think of so should be a much better car when I get her back.

i owned this for a while, took it as a trade-in and looked like shit,,you got an amazing car though,very clean and seriously well re-painted by podge and steven k,, i think they went through 3 or 4 rear bumpers before they found one that fitted perfect and suited the car,

There are now.. The eurolines are pretty rough to be honest but plan to send them to the wheel doctor soon enough and have found centre caps online so should look better soon. Also the coilovers are being set a nice bit lower soon as well.. :)

Thanks lads, actually sold the euroline and the Rotas since. Collecting a full set of work emitz on saturday, a wheel I've adored for a long time but never thought I'd find.

Got some sweet checkered floor mats from Japan aswell as a carbon roof spoiler so things coming together slowly but surely..

Also sold the tein coilovers as they didn't go low enough so saving up for some new hsds now and a driftworks adjustable arms kit so I can get it sitting right on the new dish.. More updates in a week or two.. :)

Update! Got the wheels.. My god am I happy with em.. Offset is absolutely spot on, very lucky.. Just need coilovers to get her back on the ground again.

Only problem I have is uneven fitment on the back due to the arch extensions being fitted unevenly.. Somebody had compensated for this with a half inch extra wheel spacer on one side but I've taken off all spacers as I assume it would mess with the geometry..:/ any suggestions? Oh I need adjustable camber arms too if anyone's selling a set cheap?

That's what i'm hoping but i'm pretty sure it is the overfenders.. :/ A new full set of adjustable arms from driftworks and some tracking may help but i'll just have to wait it out and see.. :/ ... lowered it more since and gave the car a wash and i'm getting more and more happy with it everytime i look at it.. :D

Car loks great, though that is some uneven fitment.
Take a few measurements from different spots, eg hub face, coilover, shell, turret out to the edge of the arch and you should see whats the cause of the diference is then, might save you repalcing good arms etc.

It could he something simple as the offset bolts being out aswell from the Pictures it looks like you have more camber on the drivers side. Check everything and my personal opinion stay away from driftworks arms you wont be tracking this id say, if you are using it on the road and you need adjuatable arms get the apex bushed arms they sell them through sxoc.com. i got a set and they are sound, if you get rosejointed arms they will break your heart. Fine for the track and that where needed but not for a Dailyyoke
