rite guys my s15 turbo died last week so i got myself a new Garrett GT2560r

Had a restrictor banjo bolt on the s15 turbo and i wonderin does the GT2560r need to b restricted..

The turbo is a direct replacment for the t28r turbo

Any advice wil b appreciated

if its ball bearin it'll need the restrictor as well

Not 100% true. I am running my 2871r with no restrictor and it is fine. I had a chat with Owen developments about it and they said to try without it and only fit one if it starts to smoke. It is more dangerous to have too little oil than too much.

I had a roller bearing turbo fail on me before and I believe it was due to the fact it did have a restrictor fitted. Oil engine pressure needs to be taken into account too.

Only use a restrictor on a turbo if its smokey on idle.

^^^I'd get the oil seals done on my turbo if it started getting smokie at idle.

Some of the ball bearing turbos have a built in oil restrictor my 2860r did
