The Next Drift Practice and Competition at Aghadowey Race Circuit
Saturday 30th June 2012

Round 5 N1 Drift Series

Gates open at 08.00am for Sign in, with Drivers Briefing at 08.45am
With the first Session Starting at 09.00am Sharp

Practise will be from 9.00 until 2.00pm with the Competition starting around 2.00pm. Normally the Competition takes 2 hours and then there will be open pit until 5.00pm.

The main difference with the Competition this Event is it will be held at the bottom corner of the Track instead of the top Hairpin, this is to increase Entry Speeds, Angle and to see who’s got Balls of Steel

Drivers £50.00, all Spectators £10.00, Children under 12 Free

For the Practise the Track is Wet every 2nd-3rd 15 minute session
but provided the rain stays away the Track will be Dry for the Competition,
Its a hard to guess how many tyres to bring
I would bring as many as possible,
I know alot of guys would use 10-12 tyres for the Practise and Competition

My enquiry for a press pass was purely to make sure that it was ok for me to be on track to take a few Pictures for a couple of drivers who asked me to come down. Are you not going sir, Its been a long time since I got a shot or two of BMC.:)

Was the 1st time at this was only up watching turned up at 1 or shortly after full of bm's and very few japs thought it could have been better esp when there was no competion?? drivers looked to have plenty off track time but a few battles is good to watch thanks to the derg man in my old carlton for the passenger run out!

I would like to take this opportunity to Thank all the Drivers
for making today’s event the Great Success it was.
The weather up to 11.30 was really good providing some really
Spectacular Drifting with loads of Big Angles and Masses of Smoke
Unfortunately after that it was very wet and with a general agreement
from all the Driver the Competition has been postponed to
the next Round at Eglington on Sunday the 22nd of July.
With the rest of the day being open Pit when the rain subsided around
2.30pm the Track wasn’t long Drying out and again giving us
some more brilliant Drifting.

Thank You to Amanda, Connie, Darryl, Neil and Paddy the
Marshall who braved the elements and also to Eurodave for the
Pictures and Videos which will be posted soon.

Looking forward to seeing you all at Eglington for
Round 5 on Sunday 22nd of July

Have to agree wit 3m the rain was torrential and it was a good
Decision. Even during practice cars were sliding off track and getting
Damaged some quite heavily. A competition would have led absolute
Carnage as grip levels were tiny. Roll on the next one

Long Story, But when your told to "go f**k yourself" I take that as not being permited access. Yes sir the old paparazzi lense is hard to beat. When are you out again yourself. Might head up to Bishopscourt this coming weekend.

was up for a wee run as a passenger-spectator,, great track with both fast and slow sections and plenty of straights for manji-ing,, definitly bmw country,, never seen so many in the one place in my life,, saw plenty of mental entrys during the day and fair play to the lad in that navy s13,, going flat all day and prob the last man to leave the track,, well run event and definitely going back

Awesome day, first run out so was a bit slow/rough to start with but started to get the hang of it coming near the end, unfortunatly the day didn't end too great for me but all part of the learning curve as they say lol

Big thanks to the organisers and marshals for a great day, also Dave, Neil, jordy and Chris for the help on the day, I intend to be at the next one way or another!!

No problem 3m, glad to have been there! Have to say the guys put on a good show! The turnout was fantastic! FULL line up! It's good to see drifters comin from near and far to support Aghadowey drifting, really shows its growin from strength to strength! With appearances from a few worthy bmw's, Aghadowey and Eglinton are doin a fantastic job of spreading the word and getting more up and comin potential drifters into the sport! At the end of the day it's all about havin fun and a bit of friendly competition. Lookin forward to the next one!

didnt quite go to plan on sat, got nearly two runs out then waste gate broke the weld at the manifold. at least both runs were in the dry.

gotta love the 80mph entries from half way up the straights lol

wetness would have put an end to the fun for me anyways, those nissans just go nowhere in the wet, got a few runs out with mark and he was using 3rd and 4th just for the crack lol mad
