car started making noise like this when ticking over the last night but goes away if increase the revs a touch and is gone for ages but could come back again randomly oil level is spot on iv no clue bout this but heres video of exact same sound im getting any info be great thanks

Its the vvt sprocket in the inlet Cam lad.
If u want rid of this noise either get new sprocket Or a solid 1 then ull never again suffer with vvt rattle.

ha was thinking the same , better off going adjustable sproket like ian said no more worries

haha ya feels like im sittin in the golf video is worse than mine do mine goes away totally after a while jus wanted to know its safe to drive

No lad just the noise will get louder and eventley it will stay with ya everytime Car is on idle. Not sure on price , No not a bad just to do either.

Very very expensive from MR Nissan and no one has bothered to try make them cheaper from what I have seen. You can pick up a second hand one for less than 100, but it could start rattling straight away or in a month, no way of telling really.
