View Full Version : SG AUTOSTYLING RB26'd onevia pickup
Ok Stuarts not on here so putting this up for him. Been talking about doing this for a long time but when the engine expired in the onevia we thought now IS the time to do it. At the minute she's completely stripped and the initial cuts have been made to make her into a pickup, some say we're mad cutting a good ps but fuck it, it's done now. These need to be hit right on the head or they look shit going by the other examples that have been done but we've looked into it enough and we're body men so really may as we'll have a stab at it. Everything being removed and painted, coated or dipped. Engine wise there is an rb 26 sitting for her built to the teeth and a brute of a turbo. Management etc etc still to be got but we are a brave bit away from that stage.

More pics tomorrow of the strip down and us going at her with a grinder, the shell is really really good underneath thankfully. So anyone wanting complete rear glass (3pieces) for a ps13 give me a shout it's been cut out an all.

The car was always well setup so not that many parts to be bought.
sr20 is being rebuilt and sold
550 injectors
steel headgasket
highlift cams (unknown make) but defo high lift
trust turbo
jap mapped ecu wit 9200rpm rev limit
oil catch tank
front mount
Stuart will put the spec of the RB up but there is HKS EVERYTHING on it.
She has tein coilovers
uprated ARBs
braced underneath
locking collars
2way diff
steering rack washers (Chris Burnett will be doing the steering lock mods)
GTR rear brakes drilled and grooved discs
Hydro handbreak
full aero kit
50/50 rear lights
bride seats and harness's
Man your lunatic cutting up that shell ! will be cool do. used love the look of this when it was in Chubby's With the Trust decal down the quarter panel

same as jimmy, always loved this car when chubby had it then you madean even bigger inprovmen on it!! :) cant wait to see this finished, some pick-ups look sweet done but as you said some look like crap :( but cant wait for this :D

No one lined up yet he would like to sell all as a package, engine, box, ecu and loom altogether. There will be new pistons, rings, bearings arp bolts and headgasket going into it forgot to mention there is a nismo clutch in it also. He had all these bits bought for a rebuild for ages then the rb came up for sale,
engine was running 360 bhp. He in no panic to build it but if someone wanted it she would be built for them.

why the fuck cut up a ps shell like that when you can get a 180shell for free!!

pick up or non pick up but put it back to the colour and styling it was when it came from Japan. looked amazing
The only things that were different was the colour and a set of overfenders everything else has just been fixed/fitted correctly on her. I liked her navy with the gold wheels was cool looking bit she quickly got tatty. Colour has yet to be decided for it but it'll be more subtle than crazy.
Gem he wouldn't have got the money he needed out of her buy sellin it, plus it's a solid shell as opposed to a rotten 180. He loves that wee car, was no chance of unsing a different shell.

iv seen a few rotten 180 shells but far more 200sx s13 shells! you could get a clean 180 shell for 100euro and easy sell the ps13 shell for 500! its fucked now thow! and will not ever be let run in prodrift or bdc because its original roof and design have changed so in total it is just a big waste of a good shell
His choice dude, knows the consequences of doing it. Mad I know but had to get cutting her.
I hope he keeps the bits that were cut out so a reconstruction is possible someday when these get even more rare :huh::huh:

Ok lads progress been slow but steady, engine been in for a trial fitting, tunnel marked out, and car been sent to get the cage fitted. We went out for a visit today with stuarts seat to check positioning of the harness bar within the cage etc etc. Here's a few quick pics.

I already have the old sr20 bought :-)..He has some nice some nice wheels for sale do set of mint advan 3 spokes 17" and a set of 6 soke advan rg's
Just after seeing this thread i think it would be mad to go off and buy a 180 shell instead of cutting this one up the max cost saving would have been €400 fuck that and ya dont rightly know what your buying till ya get it sand blasted and all the extra work stripping that shell buying a 180 shell and fitting all suspension break lines fuel lines wireing etc it was cheaper in the long run to have used that car. Who gives a fuck how rare they are you will have the car you want.
